Went this evening to my EBGames where I placed my legendary preorder to confirm the launch details. Theyh are not very confident that their system is going to hold up at midnight so they told me what they are going to do:

They'll close their doors at 9 and then rearrange the store for what they want to do. Then theyll start letting people in about 9:15-9:30 to confirm pre-orders and make purchases. They will then physically stick names to the boxes. At 12:00 they'll start picking up boxes and calling off names. Early people will get their names called off first. They think they'll get through everybody in less then 15 minutes.

Seems to make waiting in line a bit pointless. Hmm. Tailgate party?

We're selling the game at 9pm. You get the reciept. At 12:01, hand the reciept, we check you paid, hand you the game. No one is allowed in if they haven't paid fully. 9pm to 12 should be plenty of time for the remaining people to pay theirs off.

Yeah, Valhalla is widely considered to be the spiritual successor to Blood Gulch (whatever that means.) It's way more mountainous though, so I really wonder how similar it'll feel...

I LOVE Valhalla, probably better than blood gulch. But I don't think it replaces blood gulch, I also don't think Guardian replaces lockout. I hope they make official remakes of these maps. I would also love to see Sidewinder or Damnation from Halo 1.
