Why do you UK people order from Game? They most of time have the worst prices and are just like EB/Gamestop (game is owned by them), so you know they're evil :)
They're trade-in prices suck and the people at the shop know nothing about games.
I know the site is obviously different from the shop, but yeah I don't really wanna suport them.
 
I caved in and watched some gameplay footage thats out there, it was from
Mission 4
and I noted something special about it's music. It's not that big of a deal but I'll spoiler it just incase.

I noticed that it had music used from the first level of Halo - The Pillar of Autumn. You'll recognise it once you play it :D

Which delivery method did you choose? I think I'm going to order Limited Edition from Game and want to make sure it comes on the day. Free delivery says 2 business days - so I guess you need to go with next day to get the on release day delivery? What did you choose for Bioshock?

That's what I want too, I'm trying to change it but can't for some reason.

It's hard to not just have a look at the first second aint it :lol

All I remember seeing was
an orange fuzzy block on the screen
, which led me to the conclusion that
I should, like MMaRsu, wait a few more days to play it on my HDTV instead ;)

Maybe if I finish of a bottle of whisky, then watch the video, I won't remember anything in the morning... Worth a shot?

Heh, they really don't know anything. One thing that proved this to me was when Xbox Live went down for the Spring Update, the guy at the till claimed that "someone from Microsoft" had told them that the Halo 3 Beta would be up once the downtime was over, and that the downtime would last for 3 days.

When I told him that Bungie had said the beta would begin on May 16th and that Xbox Live was simply down for the best part of the day instead of the claimed 3 days, and that I had contacts at Bungie that had also confirmed this several times. He then responded with the "Microsoft contact" blurb, and that I should get one of my Bungie contacts to give me an invite.

Of course, the funny thing is that I already had an invite off a Bungie employee! I was nearly tempted to print off my email from my contact confirming that, and walk back into the store just to show him up. But I was hungry and couldn't be bothered.

True story.

Haha, damn they're so stupid.
It's funny watching them push they're own GAME warranty on people buying consoles. The Wii comes with the manufacture warranty and the guy was saying that the manufacture warranty isn't that good etc and all that BS and was telling him to buy the GAME warranty since they fix more issues.

I havent actually bought anything in a Game store for ages, but I do buy hardware off their website so I can just take it back instore if needed (came in handy with my 360). I do have my Legendary Edition preordered online at Game, as I simply assumed they would be getting the bulk of em so I would be more likely to get one and I don't trust smaller sites with such things. My Collectors Edition however is ordered elsewhere (more money than sense, but its Halo!) but barring the odd sale, Game don't tend to get my money.

Guy in UK playing it, said he bought two and Paid £99 for each (so probably bought from Comet before they realised they weren't allowed to sell them)

Insane price, but then again I'm buying 2 versions of Halo 3 at launch :lol
 
someone needs to tell sdf that no one is denying killzone looks bad. we're just arguing, i mean, we know that halo will be the better game.
 
I preordered from my GAME store in Preston, they are doing a midnight launch and I have my legendary preordered. I am going to turn up at 7 and wait till 12. With my good pal. We will both be first in the que with our cat hat preorders and we will walk away to finish the fight.

BTW, on a side note my friend graeme(the guy with me on launch night) got the RROD on saturday so he is soooo PISSED. He is the biggest HALO fan i know and has read every book and comic. He is that much of a fan he is not just gonna miss launch night by a few nights and have it fixed by Microsoft, he has bought a new ELITE just so he can play on launch night, FINISH THE FIGHT!!

P.S. if anyone wants to add me on Live you can bet your ass i will play with you guys on launch day and beyond. my GT : arnie lfc

I ordered from Game because Play.com are usually slower on the big titles. Also Game isn't owned by EB/Gamestop (I really wouldn't care if they were anyway). I usually get my games from Play, I got Bioshock (Limited) and Halo 3 (Legendary) from game because play didn't carry either.

I picked UK Express for both games (£4.95).

Basically Bioshock was released on the 24th, I recieved a mail saying my order was processed on the 17th with a mail saying my order is "on its way!" on the 22nd.

Same boat. Still not sure where to pre-order it from. If I do online places, I have no idea if I'll get it on the 25th or a few days after.

The only thing you'd need to preorder is the Legendary Edition. Everything else will be in full supply.
 
Wow, I havn't been able to read this thread for the last 24 hours, and just caught up on the last 30 or so pages. I feel like I've LIVED the journey for the past hour and a half.

Don't pay attention to SDF, that place is just run by completely bias sonyfans. Probably guerilla marketing for Sony I bet. I mean look at some of the stuff the print . . . ridiculous and pathetic.

Well, they're called the SDF for a reason.
 
I've prepared my gf for the next week. She knows she won't be seeing me too much for about a week. Or until I "owe" her a dinner. Which I will owe many of. And gifts. And hugs.

At least she is still playing FF12 like crazy. She'll be occupied too.
