Another idea, less creative. Grav hammer joust.

Teams of 2, any map. One moniter, one player each. Moniters spawn crates (for urk) and spartans jump on top. mointers float to an even height carrying the box, face each other...

CHARGE. Spartans try to knock each other off, or kill each other as the boxes pass in mid air.

a) Yes, but they're nowhere near as powerful as the ones on Valhalla.
b) Nope, they're treated like pieces of the environment. You can edit the stuff on them, though.
So you can put htose nifty covenant turrets on it then?

At 7 Days, 7 Hours, 7 Minutes, and 7 Seconds to go, I'm going totally dark. I might have to resort to reading or playing DS exclusively to pass the time.
Edit: 7777, yeah!

Double Edit: Epic Edit Failure!

Man, that actually sounds amazing.

I'd like to see as many American Gladiators games as possible in Forge.

a) awesome.
b) darn. I guess there will be an honor rule that the players have to move the elephants into position. I was hoping to make it game with no honor rules, I dunno, maybe it will work out in the end, with more distance and spartans on the ground.

Consider that gametype flagged for my Xbox 360. :)

Wow I didnt know there was a buddy list, I wouldve added you guys long ago...

But yeah, first time ive ever had to use the ignore list.

Are people still using that list of Gamertags that Ghaleon made to add friends? I've only gotten a couple of invites : (

I need more for custom games with GAF next week!

Add me, I need some more for customs as well.

That sounds awesome. I didn't even think about having the monitors fly around holding platforms that the players can ride on.

Thanks guys. Unforunately I can't add anyone yet, in my current living situation I have fast internet, but the network doesn't allow Xbox's, Playstations or Tivo's on it :(. I still have to convince the fiancee that it's worth an extra 40-50 a month for Halo and Tivo.

Tell me something. Is there a possibility of having the fire from either a flamethrower or incidinary (sp?) grenade stay for an infinite ammount of time ? I'd really like to create a sort of gauntlet type match where the "ring" is created by a huge area of fire, and one player with a hammer is in the middle, and multiple people come in with needlers trying to push the main guy out of the ring and into the fire while the main guy has to use his gravity hammer to knock the other players into the fire.

I'm not highlighting any black bars. If you have a great punchline for your joke, I won't be reading it. Sucks to be you, Mr. Joke Writer.

Ohh man, I'd have Jonny cash on my speakers the entire time.

If you can't do the fire, maybe you could create instantly respawning fusion cores that are constantly exploding?

Wait so you can stick grav lifts in the middle of the air?
Can you do this with any other objects?

I think frankie mantioned that you can spawn things on top of a stack of crates and then delete the crates and the thing ( whatever it is ) will stay in mid air if it doesnt have a respawn timer , or fall if it does.

And the gamertag roundup can be found here.

Was feeling lucky this morning (which I never feel) so after reading this thread headed over to K-Mart to see if I could get lucky. No such luck. No Halo 3's in sight.

Feeling a little bummed I stopped off at Walmart on the way home just to see if by a miracle they were selling it early and of course didn't find it on the shelves. I was going to exit the electronic department when I noticed a box labeled do not sell until Sep. 25 in a cart with a whole bunch of other stuff.

So I stealthily waited a few minutes for the clerk to step away and opened up the box and snagged a copy and went to the front of the store in euphoria. I picked up a few grocery items so as not to be conspicuous and headed to the self checkout line envisioning a night of Halo fun.

Scan the fruit. Check. Scan the Pie. Check. Scan Halo 3. Restricted Item.

I guess a little signal goes off somewhere because another cashier chick was there in a couple of seconds asking what was the restricted item. I put on my best dummy face and said, I guess this videogame. Weird huh?

Weird Indeed. So she takes it away and I finish checking out getting some pie and fruit I don't want. So I guess the moral of this story is to ignore any lucky feelings on the rare occasions I get them :(

Dude...you went to Walmart?????????????

Standard OP is to pocket it in your pants (if you wear any to Walmart, congrats, you'd be in the minorityz), and casually walk out.

Yeah, usually Wal-Mart will register the street date in the system for things like that, so the items won't even ring up as being for sale until the street date hits. They did that for all the Wii games and accessorys (and systems I'm assuming) at launch too.

You should have gotten another game and cut the scan code off and put it on halo 3 under the plastic. It wouldn't be stealing because you would have spent $60.

Should have gotten another 60 dollar game and scanned it twice. It wouldn't be as bad as stealing since your still paying 60, and you could have played it off like you were an idiot if you somehow got caught.

Anyone else pre-ordered their Legendary edition from Amazon UK?

I just got this in an email:
We are sorry to report that there has been an unexpected delay in obtaining "Halo 3 Legendary Edition (Xbox 360)".

We now expect your order to be delivered by February 10, 2008.

Please accept our apologies that we have not been able to dispatch your order within the estimated dispatch date. We may need some additional time to obtain this item.
I want to cry right now. I really hope it's some kind of mistake - February 08!?

Not sure what could cause that delay. There is not a second round of Legendary units coming - manufacturing is over, the factory is torn down. It might be that they just don't have enough to go around, and that's the email to tell you so.

Sorry to hear that. :(
