One of my old football coaches from back when I was in high school works at our local 7-11. I asked him about it Saturday night and he said "we don't have it yet, but I will sale it to you when we do". So now I am going back to 7-11 every night. The sad thing is I preordered a Legendary copy in November of last year.

I'm curious of how many people would buy a copy on the spot if they had a legendary copy waiting for them on the 25th.

Yeah this weekend is going to be nuts. Sunday night for me will be just like Sunday night 3 years ago. I can't wait to see the high res video footage that plays during the video reviews. IGN will have one, I'm sure.

I'm more interested in the campaign story than the multiplayer. Strange for a game with a rather 2-dimensional protagonist but the universe itself is very well thought out. Also, reading the books does add a lot to John's character and I blame them for driving my hype level through the roof.

Agree. When halo 2 came out I played 5 minutes of single player then jumped straight into MP. But that was before I read any of the books. They add so much depth to the game and the story. Now all I want is a conclusion to this story. Then I will start shooting you all.

Perhaps thats the answer there. Most I have talked to who are into Halo for story are the book readers. As someone whose Halo experience is limited to the 2 games, its very bland to me.

Perhaps thats the answer there. Most I have talked to who are into Halo for story are the book readers. As someone whose Halo experience is limited to the 2 games, its very bland to me.

I found the universe intriguing after the first game but wasn't really invested in the story. To hype myself up for Halo 2 I decided to read First Strike and that changed everything. I wish they could incorporate the great narrative of the novels into the games.
