Bear in mind that until now, everyone has been following the rules set the the forum administrators (that would be bish's warning at the top of the forum), and with the leaks going on, many of us are avoiding all other forums and consider GAF our safe haven because of those rules. So yeah, someone coming in and screwing around with them makes a lot of us nervous, and understandably grouchy.
 
man i just saw the halo 3 60 sec ad - believe. All I must say is that was the best commercial to a videogame I have ever seen. Gave me goosebumps, and the "monument" was SO well done. Huge Props to MS, Bungie and whoever made that.

I think Bish was just trying to prevent people from starting threads for specific spoilers or from putting spoilers in thread titles.

I thought Bishop's ruling made clear to keep all things, including spoilers (must be tagged and hidden), in this thread. Makes the forum nice and tidy and keeps the nuts in one packet and all. =)

I realize that, it was just funny seeing a thread start with a warning to post all spoilers in...this thread. But I do hope that one is left open, and this one stops getting spoilers dumped in it. I've stopped going to every single website but this one, until I'm through the Campaign.

you guys are blind if you think you are gonna be free from spoilers, even more in a big forum like neogaf, eventually you read one, and there is no escape
except if you leave internet 2 weeks before the game release and come back only days later the game launches

No kidding. Then as long as things look safe, I proceed to scroll back up and read.
 
I accidentally clicked on some Halo 3 spoiler thread instead of this one, just saw the Halo 3 in the title and jumped in. Lucky the first post at a glance was nothing like the first post in this thread.

That was bloody close I tells ya.
 
I get the impression that there are people in here who are looking to leak spoilers. Honestly, the reason we don't want spoilers in here because it is only a matter of time until someone makes the mistake of posting one without tags. I'd rather there be none than that bullshit.

my spoiler was not even a text, it was a link to a joke
to see it, you need to highlight the spoiler tag AND click the link, you must want a lot to do that, at least if it was serious...but it was a joke
 
I feel pretty safe here reading posts and if one starts to tell me something true or not ill just skip over it. I have a little bit of self control as do most of us i hope.

I don't read all the posts anyways im usually here looking at the pictures.

Exactly, I would rather someone accidently reveal something in the spoiler thread(which I won't be looking at) than here in the official thread

Yup, that's why bish had that preemptive warning at the top of this forum. He's not stupid, and he does have the Banhammer Of Thor...
 
in gamespot forums, when dead rising was going to launch, there was a big fuss there
and 1 day before the game launched a guy created a TOPIC with all the ending in the title
people got pissed and there was a spoiler policy there too
anyway, what im trying to say is that there is no escape from spoilers
if you are just before the launch, reading the game official thread in a very popular forum plus you highlight the spoiler tag, you are at your own risk
the game is gonna be on internet before the official launch and the same that happened with dead rising will happen here

Halo gets special consideration because of early leaks.

If MGS 4 were to leak early, Expect the same reaction.
 
Bottom line guys. Your joke was an epic failure, luir. Get over it. People may have overreacted, yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that the post itself was horrible. Shake it off, and just drop it.

At the very least, there's now a spoiler-only thread, so hopefully that keeps the retards at bay for a while.
