Story: My ladyfriend and I made 4 posters with different NeoGAF/Halo things on them. Then we went around town taking pictures of her holding them in odd places. Then I decided that it might not be art-y enough so I made a duct tape Mister Chief Head and put it over her face in all of the pics. If you can't read a certain part, just ask.

Anyway im sure you have all seen this already, but it's still good to watch ( making of H3 multiplayer ) http://youtube.com/watch?v=RNbVDbDgUso. No spoilers in that video really, it's all about the MP. SO don't worry about story stuff :).
 
For those of us that haven't completed Halo 1 & 2, whats the best way to get the backstory before playing Halo 3 without playing the first two installments?
 
I'm going to give in and buy a regular copy the midnight of release since one of my friends just agreed to buy it from me after I get my discounted collector's edition from Liongames. Now I'm officially hyped for the actual release date.

Humans attacked by Alien race called The Convenant. Your on a ship called Pillar of Autumn. You land on a mysterious ring called Halo which is really a weapon than also held The Flood (parasite that takes over your body). Halo was built by the Forerunners. You are the only person who makes it off Halo alive (in the game). You blow up the Halo by blowing up the Pillar of Autumn. In Halo 2 you start off on Earth, get attacked, go to another Halo, meet a character named Gravemind (kind of flood?), go onto the Covenant homeworld and wreck havok. You also play as an Elite known as The Arbiter and witness the banishing of the Elites from the Covenant. They are replaced by an enemy known as the Brute. yada yada yada, shit happens and you wind up at Halo 3.

Man its gonna suck playing this game's campaign single-player since i have no more friends to play co-op with.
 
ok my first attempt at 7-11 failed. i offered the guy 100 bucks plus 60 for the game but he said no cause theyre all counted for. "i would if i could man, trust me" is what he said.

i'll try going back at 3am when he's all sleepy. if that fails i'll try again, and again, and again.

Thanks, but I really wanna play with someone who is really into the story and will take the time to actually have fun with the game, instead of someone who just wants to be an achievement whore, rush through the level, and skip the story cut-scenes like what I experienced with random 12 yr. olds in PDZ and GoW :(. Hopefully I can find that special someone who I can bond with.
