i know a kid who called a taxi to drive him across the street to his dorm just to avoid getting raped after he bought a ps3. its approximately a tenth of a mile from the gamestop to the dorm. :lol

I want to know if the Halo Actionclix are on sale now too! I never could get a Cortana figure from Halo 1 and they never made one for Halo 2, so I need something to along with an MC for the desk!

Game did for halo 2, Gamestation where I was at the time did an 8am opening instead (same for 360 console launch)

No idea on others.

Don't worry about the vid. I'm not even sure it's from the game. It's just a still image.
Also, there is a vid on youtube with parts of Sierra 117. It think its the same vid from weeks ago.
 
AAAAH without thinking after coming back to my desk I loaded this thread again and started to read the spoiler before my mind clicked and stopped me, got damn I hate those black boxes.
 
Hey, does anyone have where it shows how many shots it takes to kill with each weapon? It seemed like in the beta, the AR would run out of ammo right before it killed.

I know, but it makes me wonder since I've read stuff that coincide with what I saw on that vid.

I actually agree with this, no spoilers should be posted...even in the spoiler tags.

I mean, none of us actually want the game to be spoilt for us, right? So only the link to the source is needed so Frankie or Luke can send the ninjas.

You might want to wait till the official release of the game for that info.

Well, I'm not averse to them. I understand that a lot of people aren't interested in reading them but frankly isn't that what the spoiler tag is for?

Exactly. I know Bish said to keep them here, but I'd just assume we not go there. But as long as things are tagged, I'm okay - I'm not tempted in the least to read'em.
 
I can't see the problem with leaving spoilers in the thread as long as they're well labelled and in spoiler tags. I always make sure to read any text around spoiler tags to determine whether it's just a joke or a real spoiler. Can people really not resist selecting some text? Control your mouse hands!

I'd say the spoiler tag is more for chatting to people about the game in an official thread. No one who hasn't played the game wants to know what happens in it.

I just want to know which weapons are worth my time in the multiplayer and singleplayer. Tag them if you must.

Umm, several people just said they'd like to know about spoilers. I, for one, am gonna avoid'em like the plague -- and that's why I don't highlight spoiler tags.

I agree. Spoiler tags are often used in the wrong way, but if they're used correctly I'm fine with them. I think two rules should be applied to spoiler tags.

1) Don't use them for the punchline of your joke
2) Make sure the reader can tell what type of spoiler it is

Well I kind of do. As I've said before I doubt I'm the only person on GAF who really doesn't find "spoilers" to be spoiling. It's kind of an alien concept to me really. I'm not particularly bothered either way though, I just thought it kind of odd that the one thread we're allowed to discuss spoilers on GAF seems to want to put up a block on them.

You need to read the thread. The vast, overwhelming majority of people do NOT want to be spoiled. There are exceptions, but if you ruin something for ONE person, it's not justifiable.

no idea here. given their current pattern it's most likely to be when they take a break between quarters. Probably during the oakland/denver game.
 
they just showed the ad again in the last break...Man this Colts game is weird- Colts are winning but it seems the Titans have all the momentum. Also- this must be Luke's dream come true- Halo and Colts all on the same channel...;)
