I've got the 3 red flashing lights 3 times now over the last two days.....It goes away after I disconnect my harddrive and reconnect it. Customer support said I my have to pay 99 fucking dollars cause it doesn't stay "dead". I'm so pissed at the moment.....Fucking right before goddamn halo 3.

That doesn't make any sense? A 3 year warranty is a 3 year warranty. If something is wrong with your system they should replace/fix it for free.

When M$ disables the 3 ROD, everyone will have to pay. I fill your pain, I got a new HDMI/360, and 4 days later 3ROD, luckily I got it at Walmart so I just returned it for another, so far so good.

Always, always tell them you have the RRoD, even if it's a half lie. As someone elses, somewhere else said; "Like they have time to check every single one before repairing and sending a replacement."

Mines a launch unit, so the regular warranty is over. The guy said if MS can't confirm that I have experience the 3 flashing lights, they will either send it back or charge me $99. My 360 keeps coming back to life

Yeah, I think I told them that it worked once in a while but the majority would be RRoD and they had no problem replacing it either way. If it only works 50% of the time it doesn't work the way it was intended and should be replaceable under warranty.

If mine breaks down from now until I play the Halo 3 campaign I'm just going to go out and buy a new system. I don't want to wait for a replacement.

Warranty is 3 years. 360 isn't even 2 years old yet. I'm pretty sure the new warranty is retroactive on all the old systems.

Am I wrong?

Yeah, I think I told them that it worked once in a while but the majority would be RRoD and they had no problem replacing it either way. If it only works 50% of the time it doesn't work the way it was intended and should be replaceable under warranty.

I'm pretty happy. I'm getting back my 360 Tuesday, and according to the serial number its a new unit. I should be set for the release, unless they send me another broken unit.

Same, I'm between jobs so money is tight but nothing is going to keep me from playing Halo 3. I have an emergency Xbox 360 cash stash.

If your console works when you take off your HDD, then it's your HDD. My friend had the same problem. He sent his 360 in because he thought it was that, then when it finally came back after 2 weeks, he put his HDD back on and he got the red ring on it, so then he finally got the clue that it was his HDD that was screwed up, so he sent the HDD back.

So I suggest that you maybe sent back your HDD to them instead of your console.

All the people we have seen so far with halo 3 on their gamercard have not had any achievements in it whatsoever.

You would think that there must be an initial achievement for something, unless they are freaked about losing their gamertag and put the game in, watched the Bungie logo, peed their pants, and put the game back in the "special place" next to the Marilyn Monroe Playboy.

Nope. That would be a bad idea, since there isn't really any guarantee you'd get the same one back.

Just arrived from Gamestop. I got the Halo 3 LE Xbox 360. OMFGZ THE COLOR IS AWESOME! It looks amazing, no picture can make justice to the detail the exterior. I love it. However, it comes with no HDMI cable. WTF Stinkles, the ELITEs come with an HDMI cable, couldnt you guys just have put one here. Still, I stole the HDMI cable from my dad's PS3 (nobody plays with that thing anyways) and I am hooking up this console right now.

PS: I also got the Halo Action Clix, and in my second pack I got a Spartan with the Brute Hammer. Judging by its stats, it pwns. Also, I cannot post pictures because I have no camera besides my webcam.
