MLG do love the symmetry. But still, I found I most of my fun in Halo 2 outside the symmetrical maps.

I'm curious Stinkles, is there any specific reason why this is your new favorite map?

Oh man Halo 3 marketing is in overload.

Watching CBS football pregame, and it looks like sometime today they will be showing a preview of Halo 3 during their football games. Now which Halo 3 fanboy will be hardcore enough to watch 6 hours of football they don't like to capture this footage??? ;) Probably won't be new anyway. Hopefully it is during the later game, as the Bears/Chiefs is the late game on CBS.

i don't think these features you mentioned are THAT important except the crazy gametypes, since weapon/equipment,vehicle,player spaws and objects locations default are ok for me
tell me more about these game types

symetric maps are the best, theyre the most fair because of the balance.

uh no. pick up a BR and use nades, the sword can very easily be stopped. the sword was of very little use on midship actually.

Isn't it going to be the "Believe" trailer during the CBS Sunday night game or is this something else?

The full length "Believe" ad debuts on tv during the football games.

Viewers get a sneak peek at "Diorama" on http://games.yahoo.com Friday Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. EST, as well as a feature on the making of the diorama, entitled, "Ammo".

The "Diorama" work will make its TV debut during NFL Football on CBS Sunday Sept. 16.

This, and the full series of web films, which honor the heroism of Master Chief, will also be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and http:www.halo3.com/believe starting September 14.

Calling a fly through of a diorama a sneak peek at Halo 3 is...not quite right, so hopefully there's more to it than that.
 
One thing that seems to be consistent with these IGN Boards Halo 3 previews is the fact that the story is amazing.

If Halo 3 had a bread and butter story, I would have went ahead and talked about it. But there was many times where my jaw dropped.

The battles, on average, are much bigger then previous Halo games. It is easy to turn a corner and have 25-30 guys waiting for you. There are at least five occasions of just a full blown war going on around you, with air and heavy armor and what not. Story is crazy, twists turns all around."

Just saw a commercial on CBS that said they were going to have a sneak peek of the game today during a commercial or something. I knew they were suppose to have the commercials today but actual gameplay? Has this been posted yet? Sorry if it has.
 
Anyone else have a feeling the single player is going to be short? with all the other features of the game and multiplayer being the biggest part. Im worried :(

It has been stated that single player will have roughly the same length as Halo 1 and Halo 2.

I'm actually looking forward to the campaign co-op more than multiplayer. There are so many campaign options that I'm sure I'll be playing through it numerous times.

Anyone have the figure of the size of the SP and MP teams?
 
Has there been any indication of when the sneak peek, (missed the preview), will be shown? I wasn't planning on watching the entire CBS double-header today but I will if I have to.
 
Today I had a great fun MP with halo 1 again, overpowered pistol makes for some real cheese but still a great fun experiance after not playing the game for so long.

I am officialy gagging for halo 3 now.
 
there is some halo 3 stuff this week isnt there? like map announcements and what not, at least i thought i read that in this thread

See, that's the kind of thing that annoys me about MLG. MLG takes out the vast majority of weapons and maps out of the game in the interest of 'balance'.

I mean, a circular room may be the most balanced playspace, but does that make it interesting to play? Nope, not at all. A lot of strategic options are lost because of it. Anyway, that's my 2c.
