On a more Halo-y note, my latest creation is up for perusing over at ForgeHub for their 1v1 tournament. It's called Crown of Flies, and it's an asymmetrical, multi-level map in the skybubble. The big power weapons are two sniper rifles that drop-spawn on 60 intervals, and Camo and yellow OS on short timers to keep players moving about the map. BRs, Carbines, and one Plasma Pistol are the only other weapons besides grenades. I've been testing this for the last three months, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. If you're in the mood for some 1v1 with your buds and give this a shot, I'd love to hear what you think.

4 flag would actually be a pretty neat idea for Multi-Team. Think of it: 4 teams of 2 each with their own little base and flag. You'd need to cap 5 total flags from any other team to win. You could intercept other teams running flags and cap them yourself. It would be pure mayhem and pure fun.*

Could you use some additional words to describe what's going on in your pictures? I see three flags, and four teams, and assumed you meant that four-team multi-flag was alive and well.

Ermmm sorry...

Basically through a few random extremely rare series of events a few things were un-locked... I cannot even explain it really, but basically 4 Flag, 4 Bomb, Spectator Mode (white team) and a few other cool thing exist fully in the final build of Halo 3... They're just 'locked out' (bungies word, not mine).

I don't know exactly how it happened, and I couldn't reproduce it if I tried, but it was fun to mess around with all the dropped game types and spectator mode.

Edit: I have some videos (shaky cam) but it's hard to tell what's going on in them sort of...

This was like two months ago, I just never posted about it.

I can say that's true for spectator mode (it was _really_ buggy) but 4 flag played without a problem as far as I could tell.

You know. It never even occurred to me that multi-flag wasn't in the game. You can set objectives to be Defender, Attacker and then 3rd Team, 4th Team right on down to 8th team. I assumed that functionality was active, but I'd never tried it.

I'm honestly shocked it's not in there.

Yep, especially on Mage and on that one Foundation remake. I miss Four Team games from Halo 2.

Just a heads up this weeks "Deal of the Week" is the Halo 3 Splatter Spree theme. So if you got any extra points laying around you may want to jump in. It's 160 instead of 240. I know, jaw-dropping savings...

That was a blast in Multi-Team in Halo 2 on Warlock. That and Neutral Flag. Speaking of which, is Neutral Flag even possible in H3?

I've been trying to recreate Valhalla with the Far Cry 2 editor with the only result being bitter tears of failure. =(

I've verbally slugged it out with Microsoft again, and no thanks to UPS, my console should be hopping along to get repaired.

At the very least, I should see the drop of ODST and the final Halo 3 maps.

Call me naive but is it possible if you are the host that you can somehow mess with the selection of the map/gametype in which it allows you to essentially have 3 different variants. Eg the first, then the haxed second and possibly the vetoed third? I played a number of games where the "host" assured us all that he could make this happen. I smell bull crap but can never be to sure with mods and the sorts.
