I love playing that game. Sorry about the cursing, but you really caught me off-guard with that blindside ghost splatter. xDNumbers said:Thanks man, I got a lot of positive feedback on that gametypeHope I can tweak some stuff in the map and finalize the gametype soon.
Yeah, I never miss a chance to play those when I can.Cocopjojo said:Heh, none taken.
And yeah, tonight was a total blast. I think I enjoyed Dual's Zombies stuff the most, especially that one game on Isolation where it took like three consecutive waves for the zombies to clear out the base.
Spasm said:Wow. These epic Avalanche battles are why I play the game. Hit me up if you want some BTB backup, Ghal. GT: Spasm.

Such a good match.
GhaleonEB said:So, the epic fail I alluded to before.
I was rooting you on in spirit.GhaleonEB said:So, the epic fail I alluded to before.
The setup:
BTB, Avalanche, One-Bomb
The game is tied 1-1. This is the bottom of the second round, so if we score, we win. We've just had a failed assault round through the teleporter - everyone converged perfectly. I had rockets and camo, a loaded warthog was prowling, we'd picked up laser. We'd run into surprisingly little resistance. I try to head through the teleporter...and it's blocked. And then, we're all slaughtered as a guy with camo and rockets kills us all from the outside of the tunnel. It was an ambush.
So now we know their strategy: cut off the teleporter and camp the base. We have no choice but to bum rush.
And here we go. First, what I saw during the game.
A lot of the maps in MM shouldn't be in any kind of environment. :lolDomino Theory said:Remove Heavies from Squad Battle, please.
The maps are just made by a 3 year old getting his hands on a 360 controller and just smashing his palm against all the buttons on the controller until a bunch of shit was pooped onto the maps and then clicked Save.
These kinds of maps shouldn't be in a ranked-environment.
The action of Oni takes place around the year 2032. The game world is a dystopia, an Earth so polluted that little of it remains habitable. To solve unspecified international economic crises, all nations have combined into a single entity, the World Coalition Government. The government is Orwellian, telling the populace that what are actually dangerously toxic regions are wilderness preserves, and using the Technological Crimes Task Force, its secret police, to spy on citizens and suppress opposition. The player character, code-named Konoko (voiced by Amanda Winn-Lee), full name later given as Mai Hasegawa (see, she kills people with kung-fu because thats what all asian people do), begins the game working for the police. Soon, she learns her employers have been keeping secrets about her past from her. She turns against them as she embarks on a quest of self-discovery. The player learns more about her family and origins while battling both the Technological Crimes Task Force and its greatest enemy, the equally monolithic criminal organization called the Syndicate. In the game's climax, Konoko discovers a Syndicate plan to cause the Atmospheric Conversion Centers, air-treatment plants necessary to keep most of the world's population alive, to catastrophically malfunction. She is partially successful in thwarting the plot, saving a portion of humanity.
We had EazyB. Sucks to be your party.DiabolicalBagel said:I waited until 5am GMT and we still had around 14-15 players. My router cut out and I couldn't be bothered going back on at the time.
The two party system was pretty good for me, Storm. Mind you... I DID have five, penguin, juices and some other great characters.
I bought my pass today. Still not sure if I'm going for all three days or just Friday and Saturday. I'm waiting on more details of any kind of Bungie/HaloGAF gathering.DualX2 said:So uh, I don't see a PAX 2009 thread anywhere. Anyone else planning on going?

Other than Entrenched 1.4 it's my favorite also, that 2 Flag game was crazy fun!GhaleonEB said:Sandstorm | EazyB Nerfed Edition(TM)

This might be pure sentimentality, but for sheer construction, Sandstorm is my personal favorite if mine. I just get a kick out of the second floor up there. That...took some time. :lol
- Dropped tubes on the top level down into the geometry to free up budget (cutting $40 in tube ramps)
- Added roofs (wall corners) to bases, moved weapon blocks, replaced columns with obelisks to provide more cover
- Removed one active camo, moved other to the outside lower level
- Added overshield to the other side, opposite the active camo
- Removed sniper rifles
- Increased rocket spawn times
- Increased laser spawn time
- Minor spawn adjustments
Thanks for the games today, on all the maps. Zombie Choppers is my new favorite regular game type. Just awesome.
That was hilarious, you were all pissed then as soon as he returned immediately reverted back to, "Hey buddy".Blueblur1 said:Tsk tsk. You left out the best one.
For everyone else: Juices took forever to make a sandwich. And I made some jokes. People loled.
Holy shit that was awesome!:lol :lol :lol :lolGhaleonEB said:epic post
You'd have to be high to believe he only took one minute. I'm not saying you're pothead, Juices. Just sayin'.Arnie said:That was hilarious, you were all pissed then as soon as he returned immediately reverted back to, "Hey buddy".
Also it was funny when Juices claimed he was only gone for 1 and a half minutes despite being absent for an entire game of multi flag.
It's a sign: you need to browse more of GAF.Stormtrooper30 said:Just got back form a weekend in St. Louis watching the Cardinals kick some Astro ass. Games were fun, Pujols kind of failed, but whatever. The first game that we went to, there were two guys that sat right beind us that sounded exactly like Dax. I swear man, I did a double take behind me when I heard them. Both of them, Dax's voice. Shit was weird.
I'm going. Me and some folks are planning to drop into (hur) the Bungie booth and play some Firefight first thing Friday if we can. I imagine every HaloGAF PAXer is going to do the same. See you there.GhaleonEB said:I bought my pass today. Still not sure if I'm going for all three days or just Friday and Saturday. I'm waiting on more details of any kind of Bungie/HaloGAF gathering.
We should get a cumulative list of people going.
