I seem to be the only 1 here who likes Lone Wolves (even though it is frustrating sometimes).

I like Lone Wolves, but it's incredibly frustrating to try and level up in. Think I've plateaued at a 46 there.

Weirdly enough, Lone Wolves is my highest rank and Team Slayer is the lowest (34 lol). Even my Squad Battle Rank is higher than my TS.

Ah ok then. Gravemind in Halo 3 was pretty stupid... he could have just crushed the Chief with his tentacles or whatever.
 
I'm just repeating this because I really think it's important:
I think tonight- Bungie's dev team just learned who their next publisher is going to be for their new IP. With Larz saying something like they are really close to to signing a publishing deal this week and the update tonight saying tonight their celebrating some super secret planning shit, it wouldn't be a surprise.

I really enjoy guessing what Bungie has up their sleeves, and I think they are celebrating tonight a new IP basically getting sold with a publishing deal either with Microsoft or another party. Can't freaking wait.

I think an acceptable compromise would have been to have the tentacles attack the platform, cracking it in half while Chief and Arbiter scurry off. Platform falls and the tentacles retreat from the debris.
 
Just finished making tweaks to map #3 of my old catalog. Hopefully we can test them out during Saturday customs. (Sandstorm and Slingshot got substantial tweaks, while Centrifugal had the center entirely overhauled and other parts tweaked.) Some time away from them helped me identify a number of design issues - large and small - that I hadn't picked up on before.
 
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.

I don't know why people think that just because someone is a level 50 they're going to automatically dominate every single game.
The amount of shit I get in TS if I don't get at the very least 15+ kills is insane.
 
I was looking through The Art of Halo: Creating a Virtual World and it said that Robt McLees, entirely by accident, made out the design for the MA5B similar to that of a real gun: the FN2000. I looked it up -

There's also a silenced SMG in the book, something I completely forgot about:
Sound-suppressed version of the SMG with bullstock extended for single use, featuring an as-yet-to-be-implemented silencer.

Which is one reason why I don't want to get 50, I don't want to have 1 bad game and have everyone asking "Where did you buy your 50?"

I love FFA. The last time I played Lone Wolves was a very long time ago when I went from a 49 to a 48 and I haven't touched it since. I stick with Rumble Pit nowadays.

Going to a firing range and then paintball with my buddies today for my birthday. I figure a birthday spent with lots of guns is a birthday well spent.
 
That's it, I finally jumped in and bought the best of halo bundle (europe) and I shall be joining all your halogaf people monday :D

My thoughts: If they were staying with Microsoft it would be nothing more than rubber-stamping the deal and going about their business. If they are celebrating it must be with a publisher other than Microsoft.
 
Probably been discussed before and read a bit from a search but: Are the required maps for ranked shit going to be free at some point?

No wonder COD4 is gaining in popularity.

In my opinion the gun itself doesn't look like the ma5b at all, it is only with the scope attatched that it has any similarities. Take away the scope and it has more in common with a BR: Shape of the foregrip, the protruding barrel, the handle located around the mid section of the gun and the shape of the stock. (this is the H2 BR I'm talking about btw)

There's even a replacement sight system that has the same carrying handle and scope structure as the BR. I think there is also a version which uses a pistol grip handle istead of that looped handle. Then apart from the length it pretty much looks like a BR.
Everyone always says the BR is based on the FAMAS but the only similarities it has with the BR it also shares with the FN2000.

Why do people complain about ranked playlists requiring DLC like it is a recent thing? I'm pretty sure they've been sailing that ship for a while. If people like the game enough to warrant the purchase of DLC and have the money... why not... em... buy it?
It's nothing new to Halo, it's just what has always been.

They spend money on CoD DLC, they'll preorder MW2 prestige edition but have the audacity to complain about having to buy Halo DLC to play ranked? Surely if they liked the game they'd just go ahead and relinquish some of that hard earned CoD only money.
 
I forgot when you come into a thread about something and don't praise it the defense forces come out. I am not starting a fight but you guys are getting it wrong. I want to know something simple. That is all. I also noticed my friends liking COD more and that never happens. Halo has been the most played among us for a long time.

I just want to know if the maps are going to be free at sometime, or should I box this game and not play anymore. Its a sad fucking time when I buy a game and can't play it all because I am not buying DLC. Other things regarding DLC get slammed around here but when it comes to halo it's different? I get that people who buy the maps want to use them but why is ALL of ranked play with teams require the new maps?

I am not placing blame. Just observing some bullshit that I didn't know was going on. Again DLC bullshit like this goes on in other games and its all over from here to kotaku, but this goes on with almost no problems from people?

Halo 3 Gravemind's lines are not very good in general, they lost the charm, the rhythm.
But its worst moment was when it reused "We exist together now, two corpses in one grave" from Halo 2. What's up with that?

cod is popular partly because its a good game and partly because its super easy to pick up and kill people even though you suck at fps games... it really shouldnt be a surprise to you that some people prefer it to halo, which can be ridiculously frustrating for bad players

Look at the handle, where you place your hand, it's very similar to the AR's and the overall shape is pretty similar to that of the MA5B.

I think the biggest shock for me is that there are people out there who are more excited about a full-fledged sequel than they are for a single-player expansion. That is crazy imo.

It's not like you can't play the game...

Anyway, the maps are worth it. The Legendary and Mythic maps are my favorite maps in the game. It's a shame that not everyone has yet to experience the awesomeness of Avalanche.
 
who gives a shit about the "popularity" between halo and cod. they're both great games and still selling well 2 years after they were released. can we but this shit behind us already.
