I was wondering why I didn't get that label as I'm a BR whore myself, but I don't think I mentioned that on here. BR's, Snipers, and Stickies to your face! OH MY!

This is the part where I cry in a dark corner at the shame of my stats. As I've said before I was horrible at H3 initally, been working off my bad stats ever since. I don't understand it either; switching from H2 to H3 caused the halo player inside me to die.
It was like I had never played an fps, let alone halo, before.

Yeah, I never really played Halo 2 outside of the campaign, and I jumped straight into Lone Wolves when I first got Halo 3 so I've got about six months of bad stats underneath my current 'okay' ones. I pretty much exclusively used AR and then one day I just decided that I would use a BR whenever I could. Best decision I ever made

Hehe, Therms approves of this. Him and I have been having a lot of debates back and forth on what direction Halo should go (if it should go in a new direction for Reach).
He wants it heavily class-based a la Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield.
I want it more like Call of Duty/Gears 2 (where you choose what weapon and grenades you spawn with). It's been back and forth between us for a while, but I can see where the desire for a class system comes from because of the potential when you consider the Spartans that were there during the Fall of Reach and the diversity of their weapons of choice and how they handled battles. Transferring something like that over to MP would be interesting, to say the least.
We do both agree, however, that the "we have to race for that power weapon now or we're screwed" tactic is getting old and can be really damaging if it's a really good team vs a not so good team (parties in BTB anyone?) and that the underlying basics of "weapons-grenades-and-melee" and its quickness need to stay because that's what makes Halo, Halo.
Spawns need a complete re-do, though. And I wouldn't mind some more beautiful, elaborate animations in first-person a la Killzone 2, but not AS elaborate as Killzone 2 to the point of it taking away from the gameplay itself.
I'm really not sure how I'd feel if it was class based. On one hand I'm totally down for something new, on another the Halo formula has been great to me.Domino Theory said:

I don't know about that. Once you get rid of weapon pickups you make it so that there are no longer any power weapons. At that point it starts to feel like CoD where map control becomes nearly useless and the combat is just the same thing over and over again.Domino Theory said:

The following is an IMHO.
If I wanted to play Battlefield or COD, I would play BF/COD.. and not Halo.. So please keep BF/COD away from my Halo.
There is no point of weapon placements on a map or map movement/control if you can start out with a sniper or rockets.**
