OH! That's cool. I had no idea, as I have little interest in statues, I'm McFarlane Halo toy person.APZonerunner said:I have one of these. It actually comes with both - the AIR and the SMGs. And two different types of arms, so you can give him a number of poses. Mine has the SMGs and the AR attached to his back for example.
That is hilarious.Letters said:Fun fact: you inspired my username, numbers. Had no idea back then whatsoever of what to choose as the username, for some reason remembered about yours, and well... :lol

At least Juices is funny. Dax is just annoying and naive.Blueblur1 said:Letters. :lol :lol :lol

Also, Numbers is the original annoying poster until he stopped goofing around and then posting in this thread altogether. He was followed by Dax and then Juices.![]()
Imagine what would be happening now if you never saw numbers, and instead went with Dax02.Letters said:I tought it was kinda funny that the first ever reply I got on here, was a hate one from the guy who inspired my username.![]()

Of course he doesn't. He's just an easy, constant target, as the really annoying people get banned eventually.Letters said:Epic beating
Dax does not deserve the hate I think.

I haven't made any maps beyond Brouhaha. I'm done with forge beyond altering existing works. If you ever want help geomerging you can send me an invite and I can see what I can do. And yeah, many maps are broken by elevation advantages. I put a lot of though into it on Brouhaha but I can't get people out of the base to see if it really worksStriker said:Eazy, didn't you create another asymmetrical type map for the ground floor on Sandbox? Your Brouhaha map was amazingly built with geomerging and whatnot. I would like to do a little geomerging on my current project, but I simply don't have the patience, or smarts. But I'm different in a sense of making maps more built on the ground and vehicular combat, instead of high walls or blocks. Not a big fan of those on Sandbox, though your map made it more fun than 99% of others like it.
I was in forge messing around on my map, creating a roof with a single hole over the base when I saw this post :lolpet said:i think there still should be some holes in the roof, so the attackers can still grav lift and drop down but the defenders know where they can come through.. and maybe raise the spawn time on the grav lift
Had no idea you were in the AR crowd. You've lost major points in my book.LunaticPuma said:Put a security helmet on it and I'm sold. That would be exactly what I use in MP including the color scheme. :lol

What are the chances of them being released as DLC (free or paid) for Halo 3?
I hope our old Halo 3 discs don't become completely redundant by not even allowing us access to the new maps. I'm likely buying ODST, but I can't guarantee i'll have money at the time. I'd also like to be able to give my old/new disc to friends and get them back into Multiplayer.
I'd like to think they'll be available for free (unlikely) or to purchase, even if only after the first month's launch period or so.
I think MS would be missing a treat selling it as DLC to Halo 3 owners. And I think if that's the plan, they should announce so in advance.
Fistula said:"New" too. Just wanted to tell Bungie that while this game is great and constantly reminds me why I have thousands of matches under my belt, you folks REALLY need to do something about alt accounts (48 hour trials, boosting for Gold/points). It is a bunch of keyboard and mouse kids, IP packet flooders and lag switchers. for real. 75% of the online Halo community appear to have 35 gamerscore but are level 45+. Every single match there are a few of 'em. I submit player reviews every day (sometimes automatically if your 'tag is "xXx SnIpEz 773 xXx") but it doesn't help. Maybe if "avoid player" avoided their Xbox MAC address instead of the tag? I guess that is an Xbox Live issue and not Bungie. A great feature would be "only match me with player that have been Gold for more than 1 year"
Yes. There are ways around the DLC requirements as long as someone on your 360 has downloaded them. Can someone who has all the DLC on their "main" account still enter DLC-required matchmaking with "other" accounts on the same xbox?

One more question: Does Bungie consider Canada "International" or something when matchmaking? I find it hard to believe that I get matched with people in Europe, Australia and Central America more than people from North America (open NAT, 7mbps).
Maybe bungie could incorporate it on Reach. The new dashboard will display your gold join date (or something similar), I'm almost sure bungie could make the game check that info somehow and allow you to pair only with people that have been gold members for more than 40 days.BerserkerBarage said:Bungie/Halo 3's Matchmaking service does NOT use any "avoid/prefer" tags from the XBL UI. If you avoid a player from the last game you played, it makes no difference on whether or not you'll be matched up with him again. And 2nd/Multiple accounts are a delicate issue. Unfortunately you won't see a solution for it as long as it is profitable to MS.

This is what i was thinking...SquallASF said:Do you know if the first guy respawned by the time you killed the 4th guy? Overkill just means you had 4 seconds between each kill to string the next but Extermination requires all four of them to be dead at the same time. So you could conceiveably get an overkill by having those minute gaps in seconds between each kill that would buy the first guy killed enough time to respawn before the fourth body drops.
Yep ... just as seen here. Had I hit the 4th guy with the first shot I would have got the exterm ... but I was slacking.

I think it's safe to assume it'll be released as DLC at some point. It'd be pretty messed up if Halo 3 owners couldn't even acquire all the achievement points for the game unless they downloaded a separate title.Shafto said:Do folk think the new maps will be totally exclusive to ODST?

The first guy probably respawned before you took out their last guy. The spawns are pretty fast in SWAT.ShinAmano said:So I am sure there is an explanation out there, but last night I was playing SWAT on Epitath I got an overkill on the other team...nailed one guy then the other three spawned right where I was looking nailed them all...so got the overkill and wiped out the whole team...why did I not get an extermination?
That always sucks, I was close to getting my first one here in ranked TS 2 vs 4, but the first guy spawned like a second before I killed the 4th one.EazyB said:The first guy probably respawned before you took out their last guy. The spawns are pretty fast in SWAT.

Also bungie, make it so if someone quits a game, they cannot rejoin matchmaking for another 30 minutes.

Then again it's already messed up that they haven't explicitly said that they'd release it as DLC let alone given it a release date. It's MS though, so I wouldn't be entirely shocked if they didn't say anything through ODST's release to increase ODST's perceived value. And to think there's the slightest chance of it being free is as naive as one could be. Again, they want to increase ODST's perceived value, that's why these maps didn't get released last fall, and of course they want to make as much money off of Halo proper until their janky attempts devalue the IP.

backflip10019 said:Get a better connection, scrub.
I lag out plenty at home but I still agree there should be stricter penalties for quitting out of team games. 30 seems like too heavy but a 10 minute penalty sounds about right. Gives those that had to leave because something came up time to deal with it while those that lagged out a few minutes to contemplate ways in which to improve their connectionSai-kun said:What about people like me who lag out?
People like you are the reason why majority of the games in Halo 3 matchmaking have lag. Complain all you like about your laggy games but if you have a shitty ass connection to begin with, I do not think you can complain about the game being laggy or you lagging out.Sai-kun said:Deal with it B)
