I'm adding new detail that is not ingame if that's what you mean. Following the same framework of Bungie's design and adding my own spin within that.

I think it's funny how most people who want power weapons just shoot at you instead of saying that they want said weapon. But usually people that scream and yell for a weapon at the start of the game end up going into the thick of the fight and losing thw weapon to the other team, yelling at his teammates for not helping him while he ARed his way to the middle with the sniper on his back.

Or even better, you manage to kill 3 out of the 4 players with the sniper while the 4th hides whilst being shot by said douchebag teammate only for him to betray you and somehow, manages the impossible task of losing the sniper to the opposing team before you can respawn and get back to where it's being held. Yes sir, you clearly deserved to wield that bad boy, I'm terribly pleased that you set me straight by killing me for the right to suck.

Last week - Team Slayer (ranked, fergoshsakes), Ninja Assault on Last Resort. I'm not wearing a mic (yeah, yeah, I know, but nobody else on my team was, either). We're on offense. I spawn and head for the bomb. I pick it up and start running up the stairs. Guy on my team shoots me in the back. I think, oh, he wants me to hitch a ride or something, so I turn around and come back down. He melees me in the face, and takes the bomb. I'm given the chance to boot him, but choose not to.

He plants, we successfully keep them off it, we score. The other team manages to do the same. We spawn on offense again. I figure 'douchebag probably wants the bomb again, I'll just go get in position to defend it once it's planted.' I head towards the base. He gets himself killed behind me (he was taking it very slow). I head back and pick up the bomb from near his corpse, so that it won't respawn, and start heading towards the plant. He comes up behind me and hits me in the back. Shields down to zero. I turn around and face him - and he shoots me in the face. This time, I DO boot him.

I'm able to plant, but 3v4 we can't keep 'em off it. Lather, rinse, repeat - we run out of time. They score, we lose 2-1.

I wish there were more you could do than simply file a negative report.

That is the crap I'm talking about, why do they play with other people? Do they just want to look like badasses or saviors? Impress other people? Why play team games if the team is just YOU. There's no I, Y, O, or U in TEAM.

I've read some disturbing things on the internet before but nothing as repulsive as this. There's no way Mr. Orbital had anything to do with Valhalla.

Analyzing the qualities of the Orbital, or more accurately the lack of quality and total disregard for proper map design, it's probably safe to assume Mr. Orbital was responsible for such Halo classics as Isolation, Backwash, and Chiron TL 34.

"New" too. Just wanted to tell Bungie that while this game is great and constantly reminds me why I have thousands of matches under my belt, you folks REALLY need to do something about alt accounts (48 hour trials, boosting for Gold/points). It is a bunch of keyboard and mouse kids, IP packet flooders and lag switchers. for real. 75% of the online Halo community appear to have 35 gamerscore but are level 45+. Every single match there are a few of 'em. I submit player reviews every day (sometimes automatically if your 'tag is "xXx SnIpEz 773 xXx") but it doesn't help. Maybe if "avoid player" avoided their Xbox MAC address instead of the tag? I guess that is an Xbox Live issue and not Bungie. A great feature would be "only match me with player that have been Gold for more than 1 year"

Can someone who has all the DLC on their "main" account still enter DLC-required matchmaking with "other" accounts on the same xbox? I noticed that on Bungie Day everyone in the Bungie vs the World playlist was using their "good" account in case they got Recon... still the same asshats, but at least they were being matched with others of the same skill level because they weren't using a new account.

One more question: Does Bungie consider Canada "International" or something when matchmaking? I find it hard to believe that I get matched with people in Europe, Australia and Central America more than people from North America (open NAT, 7mbps).

I can't wait to get back to the university though, my home connection is balls, some of the matches were painfully laggy for me.

The map is good, but people were abusing the ability to get on top of the base like crazy, was pretty lame.

Yeah, I didn't like that you could just use the lift to jump over the front wall. I'd be nice if it were covered and higher, to keep people off the top of it.

Actually, no but if paying 800 ms points to get a tag change is what it takes to get allowed into HaloGAF customs, so be it! ;)

If you're on defense and on top of the base, you're visible from almost anywhere so the offense should be able to shoot you off. Being able to get up there on offense allows you to assault the base more easily if the defense just camps the base.

I'm trying to encentivise the defending team to do something other than camping the base (the big problem in the first version). On the game we played the defense still tried to hold up in there and thus the offense could easily grav lift up into the base. That's why I said I wanted to do a few more playtests before making more changes. I want to see how it plays when the defense spreads out and starts playing the whole map.

If you guys have any other suggestions to prevent map movement

Eazy, didn't you create another asymmetrical type map for the ground floor on Sandbox? Your Brouhaha map was amazingly built with geomerging and whatnot. I would like to do a little geomerging on my current project, but I simply don't have the patience, or smarts. But I'm different in a sense of making maps more built on the ground and vehicular combat, instead of high walls or blocks. Not a big fan of those on Sandbox, though your map made it more fun than 99% of others like it.

In this current build, I don't think I'll run into any object limit this time, which is good. Think I'll use most of the budget as I can, as well.

i think there still should be some holes in the roof, so the attackers can still grav lift and drop down but the defenders know where they can come through.. and maybe raise the spawn time on the grav lift

The way I felt about it was that you could get 1 or 2 really good BRs up top and then anyone down below was pretty much a sitting duck. There's a huge space gap between the base and cover if you're running into the base.

You can't multi-quote, you have to open a new tab with each quote then copy and paste.

Finally get approved on GAF, and my 360 is broken, and sold for parts, along with forgetting the login to my GT - so I've lost all my videos and the legendary map pack, and my general account.

FML. Halo GAF sounded fun too. :/

Question. What number are you on(of broken 360)? I'm on my fourth haven't bothered to send it back. Playing on my brother's second.
 
So, since I don't have access to a 360 right now, and since Halo PC multiplayer won't work on W7 for some reason, I decided to hook up the old Xbox to the Internet for some oldschool Halo 2 action.

I played a game before dinner (CTF Hardcore Midship, I've never had as much fun on H3 playing without a mike and 3v4 most of the game), and now, when I try to connect, it tells me to check my cables.. WTF? I changed cables four times just to check, but still, no dice.

Could anyone help? Internet comes in through a modem/router hybrid, then into a mural, and in my room from a mural to the Xbox. Worked two hours ago..

Seems the Halo gods don't want me online, bet it on 1, 2, or 3 :lol

edit: Feels good to be here finally Blueblur :D

My first. It didn't even bother to break properly, RR style; instead the disc drive just gave up hope.

I sent off for a box and that never arrived, it sat there broken for a good 2 months before I ended up selling it. I'm moving soon, don't see the point of bringing broken hardware along with me. I'll get another before the year is up, but it's been so long since I've played Halo. :(

You can use the DLC license transfer tool every six months though.
Edit: It's twelve months.
 
It says i have not completed crows nest mission but ive done it like 3 times within the last week so why dont i get the achievement?!

Ive done:

Arrival- Solo and Co-Op
Siera 117- Solo and Co-Op
Crows Nest- Ive completed it 3 times but NO ACHIEVEMENT OR BADGE
Tsavo Highway- Solo and Co-Op
The Storm- Solo
Floodgate- Solo and Co-Op
The Ark- Co-Op
The Covenant- Co-Op
Cortana- Co-Op
Halo- Co-Op (LEGENDARY)

All other missions were done on either normal or legendary and it takes me to other missions IVE ALREADY DONE.

Just give me my damn crows nest achievement and the campaign complete achievement :P

According to the Bnet stats page, you've only completed Crow's Nest from Rally Point Bravo onward.
