When enemies spawning behind you is the norm...yes, yes it is.

Smashed and Tundra are both made by the same person (L Askan) and to me they both suffer from the same spawn problems. And an overly developed focus on gaining height advantage. I mean, varying heights in maps is good and all, but not for the sake of just doing it. Makes both of his maps seem rather disjointed.

I was rather hopefully for Tundra when they first showed pictures of it back in the WWUD but after playing it (especially in SWAT) I'm not a fan. Oh well, hopefully Lotus will take over for Tundra. I like Lotus much better.

Whoops. I thought the blue guy was Self Induced.:lol Since it was his video, I had assumed Self Induced was the one who did all the killing. Didn't even bother to look at the text during the game.

Smashed uses the same basic spawn setup as default Foundry. There are only a few that have been moved to the top of some of the boxes. All of the gametypes are exactly the same as Foundry; there are even some of the original starting spawns covered up by the newly placed objects. There may have been an updated version, but the original one was set up that way. I haven't played it nearly enough to say whether the map is good or bad, but it does come across as hastily planned and thought out.

So a buddy of mine is visiting from out of town and decided he wanted to play through all three games on coop Legendary. I found myself playing Halo 1 for the first time in YEARS. It was really neat catching some references that now have meaning after reading the books such as Reach and the Cole Protocol. So far it's a breeze but I remember Halo 2 easily being the most difficult on Legendary, though that was playing single player. After I finish all three games I think I'll finally be ready to try out the Mythic Map pack I downloaded ages ago haha I've been distracted with never ending RPG's like Sacred 2 and Star Ocean. So once I'm back to Halo 3 MM action I'll have to find some of you guys to play with!

Google for kotobukiya master chief if you want a better look.

And speaking of toys, I don't remember seeing this goofball Arbiter posted here and it's just too damn silly to miss.

Halo odd pods series 1
Halo odd pods series 2
Where can I purchase one of these?

Well this is going to sound lame(like a intro to a dating site lame, but here goes)

I've really been wanting to get back into the Halo world. Never really played the multiplayer much(beat all of the games). I'm past the enlisted achievement, but that's not really saying much. Picked up Halo Wars and preordered the CE for ODST. Just haven't bought the Mythic/Legendary maps yet. Looks like they will be included on ODST, but I don't think I want to wait. Well anyways, looking forward to getting wiped off the map by some of you. GT=ENEWTABIE:D

good luck with halo 2. if one person dies you both are brought back to the last checkpoint (like halo 3 with iron skull). i never beat halo 2 legendary co-op i found it easier to do it solo.

Whoever made Orbital shouldn't be allowed to touch Halo MP ever again.
The people who made Orbital also made some of the best maps in Halo 3. They just made a dud. It happens.

Imagine if the same designers on Orbital also made Valhalla. Just think about what you could be saying. :p

That's fine. The comment wasn't directed at you, but at Eazy, who is very fond of Valhalla. (I think it's one of the three best maps Bungie's ever done, but that's me.)

The point being, diss the map, not necessarily the map maker.

Have you team killed for a weapon?

So let's say we're fighting side by side and you die right next to me. Let's say I grab your sniper rifle to continue fighting the good fight. When you respawn, are you going to come and kill me so you can get your weapon back?

This happened to me in a social match in Halo 3 yesterday (in which I booted the guy of course - that's such a nice option). And yes, internet anonymity = ass (cue penny arcade comic). But for crying out loud, it really takes a special kind of ass to team kill a random stranger just to get a weapon.

So if you've done it, (and especially if your gamertag is IX SUB ZRO XI) please educate me on what the hell you were thinking.

Oh crap. Did not know that... I beat it without much difficulty solo but never tried it coop. May have to convince him to lower the difficulty. Thanks for the heads up!

I feel your pain, many a time I've had jerks shoot me in the back because I was going to reach the Sniper first at the start of a match. They continue to attack me upon my receiving it. I don't understand why these people don't play lone wolves because they clearly don't care for playing as a team.

Yeah Halo 2 co-op on Legendary was a real bitch. The Prophet of Regret boss fight... god damn that was hard.

Did one of you mount his floating platform? I want to say I just mounted it and repeatedly punched him in the face. I don't think he could attack me that way either but I don't recall if/how many enemies were in the room. Though I only played on single player so not sure how that differs.

From what I remember the room is completely packed with pretty much every variation of enemy.

God damn.

Hmm I must have killed everything first then because I remember pummeling him to death. There were two parts in the game that I found difficult until I had a strategy going when I ran through solo and that was the infamous portion in the first level with the waves of elites and a few turrets, and when Gravemind warps MC and you have nothing but a needler locked in room with brutes. Fortunately, the former difficulty is pretty easy using the 'noob combo' strategy which is where I learned to use it. The latter I'm not sure as I believe I've only done one run that far into Legendary, I just remember guerilla warfare extreme, trying to take one enemy at a time and garner his weapon.

I believe it was the one with the AR. But in RED. :OOO Super cool.

Yay I get to play Halo 3 for the first time in like a week and a half :D

My favorite - I was about to reach the camo on Standoff, guy behind starts yelling that I'd better not take it. I did. He throws a grenade, dropping my shields and making me visible so that the opposing wharthog gunner could pick me off nice 'n easy. The cherry on top was his closing barb directed at me - "Way to waste the camo, fuckin' idiot".

Fixed.

I think it's funny how most people who want power weapons just shoot at you instead of saying that they want said weapon. But usually people that scream and yell for a weapon at the start of the game end up going into the thick of the fight and losing thw weapon to the other team, yelling at his teammates for not helping him while he ARed his way to the middle with the sniper on his back.

Aimless Ant(hony) made Lotus. You can find a link to the fileshare if you haven't downloaded it here. One of the better maps IMO that uses the Crypt portion of Sandbox.

And that last comment hurt me deeply. The only excuse to EVER veto Valhalla is 2-Flag CTF Valhalla Heavies. Why they've never made both teleporters lead to pelican so it's not insanely unbalanced...I'll never know.

I have one of these. It actually comes with both - the AIR and the SMGs. And two different types of arms, so you can give him a number of poses. Mine has the SMGs and the AR attached to his back for example.

:lol :lol

(You gotta laugh at stupidity like that. Not worth getting angry over.)

Last week - Team Slayer (ranked, fergoshsakes), Ninja Assault on Last Resort. I'm not wearing a mic (yeah, yeah, I know, but nobody else on my team was, either). We're on offense. I spawn and head for the bomb. I pick it up and start running up the stairs. Guy on my team shoots me in the back. I think, oh, he wants me to hitch a ride or something, so I turn around and come back down. He melees me in the face, and takes the bomb. I'm given the chance to boot him, but choose not to.

He plants, we successfully keep them off it, we score. The other team manages to do the same. We spawn on offense again. I figure 'douchebag probably wants the bomb again, I'll just go get in position to defend it once it's planted.' I head towards the base. He gets himself killed behind me (he was taking it very slow). I head back and pick up the bomb from near his corpse, so that it won't respawn, and start heading towards the plant. He comes up behind me and hits me in the back. Shields down to zero. I turn around and face him - and he shoots me in the face. This time, I DO boot him.

I'm able to plant, but 3v4 we can't keep 'em off it. Lather, rinse, repeat - we run out of time. They score, we lose 2-1.

I wish there were more you could do than simply file a negative report.

I played in some custom games last Friday night and one of the guys made a montage of several of the maps (along with a lot of t-bagging), not the least of which was Ghaleon's Entrenched. Here's the vid if you guys want to check it out (Entrenched gameplay starts at about 4:40). Urk gets the brunt of the t-bagging, so I'm sure you guys will enjoy it. :D

Seriously - or Rumble Pit even. Don't play team games if you freak out when you don't have your preferred power weapon.

It's just a game (yes I'm annoyed enough to boot the guy and to whine on an internet forum, but It's not like I sent the guy a pic of my ass and a nasty message about his mom).

I wouldn't mind playing with these guys. Whoever made that really captures the chaos of a BTB game. Looks like they have fun. Who are those guys?

Edit: Oh my, more recon.
