Customs were fun last night, glad I finally got a chance to get in on them :D

If anyone has any clips they want rendered from the games let me know. I don't have render minutes, but I have HD capture abilities and if you give me a link to a file in your file share I'll grab it and render it.

Hey pal. Sucks that your teammates quit out on you. I guess we were just dominating too much in the beginning. :lol

You were definitely dominating one of our team mates. He went 0 for 6 and called it a day. The other dude followed shortly after :lol Love Randoms in MM :|

Hello world HaloGAF!

So, what are the questions we have to answer again? I've had my Internet cut off these past two weeks and haven't been able to keep up with the past few pages.

BR > AR, SMG > AR That's at least one I remember :lol

And Dax, you're
still the youngest one here.
:D

Ahh, Halo 3 multiplayer, how I miss thee!

So I'm on a bit of a trip this weekend and I lug my Xbox 360/cables/controllers/games through two airport terminals and across the continental US, only to discover that where I'm staying has no internet (at least working internet) and I only have VGA/HDMI cables, which the SDTV I've got here isn't really feeling. No technology in ma squat right now, which is hilariously ironic all things being considered.

SAE Magni, is that you?

Yup that's me =)

Not gonna be online for a while since my brother has my 360 down in Internet-less land, and I lent his to some friends who are gonna LAN this summer, but starting September I'll be online more often.

I play mostly the Hardcore playlists (MLG, SWAT, and Snipes, mid-30s in each), so for those interested in playing with me this fall (should be back just in time for the new maps :D ), add SAE Magni =)

Yeesh, all that effort. Also, perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but did you bring your 360 all the way just for the weekend? Or is it a longer stay?

Definitely a longer stay, but get this, so my flight from Orlando was delayed because of this mother of thunderstorm which shrunk my layover in Chicago from over an hour (and lunch-worthy) to literally 10 minutes. I had to book it across O'Hare's B and C terminals (they're long ass terminals) with my 360 and a ton of cables/keyboards/stuff, because the next flight out of Chicago would have been four hours later.

And, all that for NOT! I'm about to order a baked potato soup from Panera whilst I check my emails, so all is not lost I suppose.

I'm thinkin', do your work at home, play Halo 3 at work.

DO EEETTTT
This actually might be a somewhat workable solution. :D

You're doing it wrong.

This is what I do:

Tether my phone to my laptop through bluetooth and use my laptop as a sharing device for internet or if you paid for a wireless network card through one of the major carriers, 3G speeds should be good enough for internets although you might hate the lag. The ideal situation would be to hook up your laptop to the hotels wifi(every hotel even in idaho has wifi i know this maaan. 4 years ago i traveled across the country and jacked free wifi so wtf... unless you're staying at a motel then stop being such a cheap bastard) and share the internet connection through your laptop to your 360.

As for the display problem you're not trying hard enough. Most hotels have computer monitors that are VGA compatable. If not use your laptop, it most likley has a VGA, DVI-D, and S-Video input connections.

Finally back in Chicago [home!] after a week away [NYC/Baltimore] :O I bought some sweet Halo swag at Otakon! They had the kinokuniya Master Chief figure, with the bubble shield half-up. 90 bucks. I almost bought it, but wouldn't have had room.

So I bought some cute fake wings. :)

Doing recon helmet all over again, looking back at my old one I am not satisfied. Needed more detail so I'm doing much more detail.

Very cool.

Could you do my Spartan's entire armor for me, if it's not time-consuming or hard?

Hasn't he spent spent like the last 6 months doing that recon helmet :lol

nah, just started over from scratch, I've been doing armor on the side, however that one I won't show work in progress for. I want it to be a surprise so to speak. Hopefully I should be done before September.

I don't recall ever playing smashed, myself, though I'd have to disagree with Orbital on objective gametypes. I do concede that slayer types have horrible spawns but not nearly as horrible as high ground.

Edit: Don't get me wrong; I do enjoy playing on orbital and it treats me well in respect to end results but the spawns themselves are just so damn frustrating. =[

I've never played smashed. Is it REALLY that bad?
Take the U shape of foundry. Right when you go into the big main room away from the two tips of the U, place two ramps. In the middle of these ramps there is a platform with a little area that has rockets.

There's a sniper somewhere on the map, but it just seems like there is never any incentive to go for it. Everyone just keeps going up and down on those staircase ramps.

Hey guys, finally got validated here. I've talked with a few of you in IRC during E3 as Moosetwik (Blueblur?) and played custom games from time to time. No way to really introduce myself without falling into the awkward Junior trap, but my gamertag is Moosetwik if anybody wants to add me.

I've been wanting to tell you for a while what incredible work you did on that Recon helmet. Can't wait to see what's next. :D

Sorry that I missed out on the Customs festivities, but hopefully I can get in with you guys next time (sent you a FR, vhfive).
