As long as you own the actual map the custom map is modifed from, then you don't need to download any of the custom maps to play on them when someone else selects them.

Long as you've downloaded all the DLC maps Bungie put out you don't have to download any of the custom maps I listed.

I've posted a status update to the HaloGAF twitter account advertising your custom game! I apologize in advance if vhfive or Eazy get spammed messages [even though I specified its GAF only].

So despite my... differences with forge, I think I'm going to try to get back into Halo multiplayer again. Is there a system that has been set up?

Customs was fun, I'll have to play more often.

Ghaleon, that was the first time I have played on Entrenched, and it was an awesome game.

And Eazy, here are the latest versions of my two maps: Neosho, Chimera. The ones that I left up there were beyond ancient versions.

Good games tonight guys. Cool seeing some fresh faces. I'm glad I was finally able to play a game on the latest version of my map. Would still like to play it more before I decide how to tweak it but I like the grav lift implementation. I can't wait to get back to the university though, my home connection is balls, some of the matches were painfully laggy for me.

Good games tonight guys. Cool seeing some fresh faces. I'm glad I was finally able to play a game on the latest version of my map. Many great games tonight. Had (or instigated) a half dozen "where the fuck did that come from?" moments.

Among them: trying to climb into the gunner seat of a Warthog on The Kingdom, when there's a flash, a crash and the 'hog is gone. Just...gone. I flee, confused and afraid.

Shooting the fusion core on the enemy base on Valhalla - because I like explosions - and subsequently blowing up my own teammate a nanosecond before he took to the man cannon with the flag. Sorry 'bout that little guy. :lol

The fucking rainbow that stormtrooper tosses on Elevation, right to my face, while I'm mesmerized by the trajectory of his other plasma arcing back off the man cannon. Very sneaky, that distraction. Saved a clip for when the render packs go live.
 
Fun games as always.

Here was a small moment that kept me thinking until I saw the video. I had no idea where Eazy came from. I guess his chopper got hungry and wanted a snack. The damn thing looks like Jaws coming out of the water :lol And the allusion works because the power drainer gives it the blue hue, like underwater...

Note to self: Do NOT surf on a hog while packing rockets. Especially if you're playing assault and the bomb is in your hog. Tried to shoot a guy infornt of us and we just assploded :lol

EDIT: I'll capture my fails and wins later on today to add to Storm's captures. (Don't have Bungie pro either)

I captured a couple of clips from the games that I thought were particularly hilarious. I don't have Bungie Pro, so if anyone wants to render one for the lols, they can. Otherwise, the person making the HaloGAF montage can get em for me.

Power Flip- Bagel and me are cruising around in a Hog when we take a bizare flip and subsequent crash.
Vhfive Stick- Vhfive gets a double stick from a distance. Came from no where.
Gaussin it Up- Fun times on the retarded Skyline map. Killing Frenzy/Overkill with the Gaus hog.
Epic Stick- Threw a hail mary accross the map and stuck Ghal after a fun distraction.
We Got the Fla-- Ghaleon and I pick up a damsel in distress when suddenly it all goes to hell.

Again, I don't have Bungie Pro so no fun videos to watch from me, but if somebody has extra render points, that would be awesome. We need to make a HaloGAF montage tag that everyone can send their stuff to. We need the failtage. it would be glorious.

Bumped into a guy named Profile Editor tonite during matchmaking. His offerings are interesting to say the least.

Apparently he can hack recon for those willing to pay. He hacked all the Halo3 achievements to prove his point. xbox profile

customs was a lot of fun this week. im going to stock up on maps again this coming week to try to get a good variety (paintball anyone?). im also going to be on the lookout for some bigger sized maps since we tend to not have a lot of those.

Thanks for rendering those.

Yea, I have 15 really good Sandbox varients, but they are all suited for 4v4 play and so we never really used them. Once we got down to 8 players we played BTB (which was stupidly fun). I'll puruse Forgehub for some larger ones.

Apparently swinging the sword when the reticle is red doesn't make it lunge, but enough about my complaining.

This was on Vhfive's AMAZING Sanctuary remake named Sanctum. Honestly, I only have a few gripes about it, but with the limitations of Forge this is probably one of the best Forged maps I've played on.

i really love that map. its rough in parts but it just brings be back to the good old days of halo 2 btb, more than the bungie ones so far have
