Heh it's all good, just having a bit of fun. For the record, though, it was slightly serious: I've read your posts in the past, and it did make me :lol (in disbelief, usually - the music part a while back was particularly amusing), but don't take it in a bad way!Dax01 said:Aw, come on, don't be like that. Let's get started on the right foot: welcome.
It'll be interesting to play Halo with some people here one day maybe, though my friends list is pretty full right now so I dunno how it'll work. Guess I'll try adding the GAF tag to see who all is on ever.
As far as AR vs. BR...
It was actually kind of funny recently, where I offhandedly mentioned while playing customs with my friends, that I considered Guardian a BR map. I forget why I mentioned it but two of my friends said it wasn't, and was an AR map instead because of the close quarters.
My reasoning was that because of the wide open spaces in the middle area and the long sightlines from yellow to sniper, as well as blue to tree, and the entire bottom hallway, you were required to be more accurate and precise with your BR shots in order to be effective. Having an AR vs. almost anything in that situation would usually result in your death or at least the inability to kill anyone else. The AR would only be useful in the situations that you come across the opposing team while trying to rush and retake an area, or possibly defend one.
Anyway I also brought up the fact that I'm pretty useless without a BR on that map (or any map for that matter), and if I can't find one for a while then it usually means I do not do well at all.
The question was then brought up: what map isn't a BR map then? And my answer was: they are all BR maps.
This is why the AR is terrible and should never be the starting weapon. The end.
