The immense skill of others can often seem like luck to those without the skill. If I had landed that shot, it would be lucky.

Here it was a mix of skill - you don't no-scope a guy in camo without skill - and luck, in landing the headshot.

I wonder - if you didn't already have it and did it under the appropriate conditions, would you get Mongoose Mowdown for that? Or do you need to be driving at the time?

That's a good question. I already have that achievement, and it was in Team Slayer, not in Lone Wolves. Do you even get Valhalla in Lone Wolves?

Why don't you play customs instead of matchmaking. geez, we learned this in halo2... bungle can't stop the cheating only mask it.

I bent over for MS and bought an arcade at the beginning of summer so I've had a spare 360. Just been busy being back home. I've played a bit of Halo with the AJ crew but each time I jump on my shitty internet kicks me out of games and parties.

The shit just makes me mad because I'm going to have to spend another hour on the phone with MS support. Hope I don't run into any trouble because "two red lights" isn't covered under warranty even though it's a brand new console and only lived for two hours.

Yeah man that sucks- Those two little lights are way worse then those 3 lights. My fan broke down after I sent my box in 3 times over 3 years. It turned out the fan failure wasn't under warranty so I had to buy a whole new box. Luckily for me, the price drop down to $199 happened that week so I got the cheap box and put my HDD and wireless and such on it. Haven't had a problem since.

I was but we couldn't get a full party anymore.

So we got matched with the cheaters again and they fucked up and 2 of them lagged out. 1 then sent me a message telling me to let them win or tie or he would hack my account. LOL. They quit out. Now I'm just waiting until my account gets hacked.

Yeah, those damn 6 year old Vietnamese kids just can't seem to put together a decent console these days.
 
I just got a cheap asian copy ($25) of Halo 3 to replace the copy that got stolen last year, and besides all of the chinese on the box making it look william gibson as fuck, I noticed that there was an "optimized for hard drive" tag on the back. This just means it loads faster with the HD attached, right? Not that this a newer pressing that fixes the install to HD problem.
 
With this beta expansion, any luck of a legit HaloGaf montage/funtage in the future? I think Juices is getting a Hi-def Cap Card, so I nominate him for making it, step it up Juices.

There's quite a few people with capture cards. Juices and another person have HD capture cards. Bladed and some others have experience editing video, so I think it's definitely possible. It's just a matter of organizing it I suppose.
 
Yea normally Id say yes but I honestly don't think I could edit something good. I'm just that bad with editing, you should see this H2 montage I made for a kid back in the day, just awful.:lol


I'd gladly capture peoples stuff and upload it somewhere though, as long as all goes right with the card, its coming tomorrow. Also if it does work anyone that wants my old card just hit me up with an address and I'll send it off to you.

Mind you I got banned on Juices (when not one of my or the other players ranks changed), yet this guy can standby and boot and shit for massive amounts of games. Yep Banhammer working fine!
 
Yeah- but I personally think the best montages are just simple clips with clean transitions and good music. For example the skate video "misled youth" by zero back in the day, still holds up to most skate videos with crazy fucking digital editing today. I think simple is better and Gaf has some quality clips.

I can just download the videos, edit them accordingly, and put them together using my video-editing software. Use Halo music, of course.

Ridiculous how they do that kinda stuff. VERY interested in 3:34 though! Added win for Where is my mind. Reminds me how theres a whole group of people not even interested in most of the multiplayer aspects just having fun doing random things with the game.

That sounds good- Just no halo music. I rather watch a montage with Linkin' park or Creed then watch a halo montage with halo music, it just seem redundant.

It fits perfectly to me, I don't find it redundant, but, whatever. If Juices could find a good file-hosting website, I could download all the videos and put everything together. That is, if you guys want it in HD. For videos from Bungie.net, since they cost less, those will likely be in SD.

Edit: At least one NeoGAF sandbox map in 7/7 playlist. :D
