Oh shit. Looks in-game too, though plastered on a promo wall. The Recon helmet looks so odd parked on different armor.

Color palette is darker than Halo 3, consistent with the media so far. Looks awesome.

Observation: as Voc and others speculated, the different weapons they hold seem to point to different types of missions for each character. One burly dude with a rocket launcher, one sniper, one silenced SMG, one AR (I think?). That or they just didn't want everyone standing there with the same gun. And the Recon character is smaller and thinner in stature. Hmmm, Cocop, good memory.

Boy. Just seeing that jolted my ODST hype way higher than I though it would.
 
^^^ Wow, Good memory. I was just going to comment on how the head of the recon soldier didn't look proportional to the body(less beefy). Deres a gerl insyde!!!
 
GAF hasn't had an avatar fad in a while. Good to see it's back. I'm really hoping ODST plays like squad based/ tactical Bioshock or Metroid Prime.

The armor is interesting though. It's kinda weird to see the helmet on a totally non-matching suit.

I also hope it's a decent departure from how the past Halo games have played. I wanna see how flexible Bungie is. It's still Halo, but it's a great opportunity to stretch the scope of Halo's gameplay.

No, but seriously, it is a little surprising to see that it's in the game at all. Based on what we've read I was under the impression that, as an ODST, you'd be significantly weaker against the enemies in the game. So you would think that they'd remove some of the power weapons.

The pistol making an appearance alongside such power weapons makes me think it won't be the Halo 2 or Halo 3 version, at the least. We knew that cosmetically, but if it's her primary weapon, it's gotta be a bit of beast. Which is what that one Staten quote had us thinking, that the pistol would cut closer to the Halo 1 version. Makes sense they'd give it to Recon. I can imagine the other dudes teasing her, and she then proceeds to drop a pack of Brutes with her hand cannon.
 
AR Guy didn't pick up the Battle Rifle in the nook 22 meters to the right of his position. Will you make the same mistake after seeing the flashback??

OT: I came home today and something was wrong with my dog, Speedy. I took him to the vet and the doctor told me that his something went wrong with his neck. He'll need cage rest for two weeks.
