So true. Half of that shit doesn't even have words, I'm guessing.
Which brings this thread to a new topic: Do you listen to music while playing Halo? Personally, I'll put Pandora on in the background and just zone out. I usually listen to 90s-ish rock (STP, RHCP, etc) but I sometimes go back to classic rock as well as a bit of hip hop (Atmosphere, Lupe, etc).
I'm very nit-picky when it comes to music. I don't listen to the radio, and never feel like seeking out more music to listen to. I just look at/listen to whatever comes across me. And I just made that list to show that I don't listen to "just pop."

You gotta listen to more music than just soundtracks. Listen to music inspired by real people and real events and real things and not just things based on Sci-Fi Games/Movies. Sure, I loved the Mass Effect soundtrack, I've even checked some songs out on Youtube, but when I make a list of music that I love, soundtracks are not on it...and I love a good soundtrack, Original or otherwise
edit: Music while playing Halo? Only when I'm messing around. Like yesterday while messing around on Butane's map, I was listening to the latest U2 album...so good...I know Ghaleon is a fan *motions for high five* lol. Once I get serious though and try to win matches, no music.

All the time? Yeah, it's somewhat strange. I mean I can definitely appreciate the occasional Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, even a little video game music can be soothing. I don't know how you live without music with words.
On a slightly different note, Fiesta on big maps like Sandbox default is terrible. Hell, fiesta by itself is terrible. You'd might as well call it Snockets.
the problem i have with that list is not that it is bad
most of it is actually quite good
it is that i would never listen to it alone. it all fits well with the game/movie/tv show but its not music i would personally but on.
exception: good for study/writing papers/falling asleep to

Occasionally? Nothing.

Before reading this post I was fairly certain that only middle school girls listened to U2...
For all it's worth, I'm at all suprised that Dax only listens to pop and video game music. I like Halo's OST, but I don't listen to is regularly.
As far as music that I like? Mainly Rock (80's to modern), metal, and country. I can't stand pop or rap music. That junk makes my ears bleed.
I don't listen to music while playing Halo because I'm usually talking to people in the party and it's just really annoting for everyone.
Edit: And team fiesta on Ascension in H2 was awesome. There were some seriously fun times on that map/gametype. People would get into the banshee and instantly explode from all the rockets.
For some reason I keep thinking I'm in a music thread....
I've updated Chimera to a more Tashi-proof map. I also reduced the Brute Shot ammo down one clip.
I really, really don't think I'll have to worry about people doing that to the Warthogs in the middle of the game now. Especially since the lip on the top blocks of the wall in the way.
U2's fan base is pretty wide. They've hauled old farts like myself along for the past 20 years, and picked up new ones with each album. FWIW, the latest is in their top 3 evah. "Breathe" 4 lyfe, yo.
Listening to it now, actually. U2 on a bad day are still better than 90% of the crap you kids listen to these days.
on my secondary account though, it says i have all except the legendary? do i have to rebuy the map packs?
it's strange because I didn't purchase the mythic map pack under my second account yet i can play in the playlists that need it, but i can't play in something like rumble pit because it says i don't have the required maps..
Alright, let me sum up a typical game of Fiesta Ball for you all:
Spawn, probably with a Spiker and Plasma Pistol. You start running towards the ba--OH SHUCKS you were just rocketed.
Spawn again, probably with a Carbine and SMG. Start heading towards that ball (gotta rack up some points to win!). Shoot a guy from behind with the Carbine a bit and head towards the ba--OH NO rocketed again!
Spawn on the other side of the map, this time with a Brute Shot and a Pistol. Sneak around in a backhand way towards the ball. It's so close you can taste it! Wow! The two guys going for the ball just killed each other! Now's your opportunity! Head for the ball! "Press B to pick up the Oddball." "YES," you think, "Now it's time to get some poi--OH DARNIT killed by rockets again.
Seriously, everything but Fiesta Slayer is so fucking broken and frustrating. Ugh.
