I think the playlist is for singles only. Also, it's not Mythic-required, so you may have to play a while to get a Mythic map.

Just get eight people together (including yourself, obviously) and go into Rumble Pit. It'll probably take a couple of tries, but you should be able to get a zombie gametype on a Mythic map.

I'd like to try and get them legit, but yes, I'll fill out the ranks of that. I might have to re-add myself to GAF Halo 3, though. You should be able to get to me through vhfive's list if not.

And Dax I wouldn't recommend going and shitting up the PA thread. If you're going to be civil then fine but I do not want more bullshit going on over there now. I'm sharing a room with three of them at PAX :lol

I really think a GAF vs TBK match would have been a bunch of fun.
 
We're getting way off topic with this net code stuff. Back to the Forum battle to end all forum battles.

I'm starting to feel bad for the PA dudes, I'm sure they didn't mean to draw the attention of the far superior GAF players. Therefor, I think it's only fair that the games are chosen as follows: PA gets to choose any gametype/map combo as long as it's from MM and has BR or BR/AR starts. That way they can practice up on the 3 variants and build up some confidence, making their inevitable defeat all the more glorious.

Perhaps I should put this in a way those Penny Arcade guys can understand:

The hit detection and melee is inconsistent, at least in my experience it has.

Team SWAT is the worst, though. No shields, yet sometimes it takes 3-4 shots in the back or back to head to kill the person.
 
Haha I was using the cached version, he must have changed that. I pulled the same stunt on him a while ago with his sig image. Well played, Fyre.
 
What's up with Penny Arcade forums singling out posts from this thread? Is there some sort of juvenile grudge I am unaware of? FyreWulff seems.. upset?

EDIT: Bungie Netcode appears to be well organized, but it's hardly perfect. Anyone who says the blame solely lies on the connection of the person is illogical. It's unlikely the netcode, but keep it in mind, it's not perfect.
 
If you guys get a game set up for later tonight, I'll get on and play if you need people and it could be a lot of fun. Plus some of their posts is providing good entertainment.

Yeah, lets face it, Halo 3 is a noobified version of Halo 2.

Does anyone know if the Melee does more damage in MLG? (because I have done 2 shots with the BR and melee in MLG and it actually kills)

health is set to 90% (I think) and damage to 110% (nearer Halo 2) so 4 shots are possible and 2 shots and a beat down will kill (on a good enough host)

HaloGAF vs. HaloPAF summary of the AM

- FyreWulff from PAF makes an awesome gif that someone here at NeoGAF "stole" and watermarked on his own.
- FyreWulff goes on to keep reading the GAF Halo thread and picks on backflip's netcode post with awesome pictures that he now watermarks because of said gif incident

- PAF goes on how elitist GAF is.
- Clan wars has been yelled but nobody has responded
