So last night EazyB, Blood, and I (Ram was only there for a couple) won 15 sniper games in a row. We each went up one level... Wtf? I think Eazy is in the 20's, Blood just hit 30, and then I'm a 15. 15 games and I go from 14 to 15...

I'm guessing you mean a new Sandbox variant, since it's hard to fall to your death in Sandtrap.

Which variant was it? There's two Sandbox sky variants in Doubles right now. Plurality, which is symmetrical, and Cubed, which is asymmetrical.

We're talking about Plurality. It really doesn't play well in Doubles.

65" screen sitting about 10' away in my gaming chair but this setup is in storage right now. :( So I'm stuck on a 20" PC screen sitting about 2 inches away to get the same affect again. :lol

In regards to the new maps making it into MM, I am still disappointed in not seeing any BTB variants being run. Even Utam Mambo is being listed as only a team objective map.

Can I give up hope now that Sandbox doesnt and will never get a BTB map variant? :( I thought Utah Mambo looked large enough to be considered a BTB map?

Realistically I'm sitting about a foot away from the PC screen. I can't wait till we find our new house so I can start playing H3 again in true HD

Alright.. I was gonna say. At 2 inches away I don't think it's physically possible to see the whole screen at once. :lol

The Vessel is also in there.

It was Plurality, and he spawned in the open air and just fell to his death. Since I played it, I should be able to go into forge later on tonight and search for an errant spawn point shouldnt I?

Yeah it's usually one just floating in the sky bubble. Probably left over from Voc's prep map. Check all the gametypes to make doubly sure.

Work continues on Monkey Cage, which I have now changed the name to The Green Wall. The wall that separates both bases is the dominant feature of the map, so I went ahead and switched the name. I still like Monkey Cage, though (just sounds fun).

I fixed a problem I had with the one of the bases feeling too small and too exposed. I think grenade spamming would have been a big problem. It still might, but at least there is some cover and slightly more room to maneuver around. Here are some recent pics:

The wall...from the side of the starting base, which is way in the back (can't really see base from this view)

Made a few adjustments to a few weapons, and got rid of some starting spawns that I had forgot to delete earlier.

I agree, in my opinion the whole idea behind objective gametypes is that a skilled team can setup and make it hard for the other team to break it allowing frantic play on the other teams behalf. When you are an individual in a gametype with no help then there's absolutely no point to an objective gametype. That goes for flag, bomb, hill, and ball. No idea why they are even in Lone Wolves (hill and ball that is), and Team Doubles is pushing it as the setup can't really get too involved.

Then again...Shishka.

I know it's the fucking worst. You spawn, move to hill, die in 5 seconds, respawn and then hill moves somewhere else. Crazy king is the fucking worst!!! I swear if lonely wolves was only slayer BR, actually even regular slayer too, I'd be a fuckin 50 already. It's a joke. Also, ball and 1 hit beatdowns with bubbles shields...booooooo

Lone Wolves/Rumble Pit Ball on Blackout is the worst fucking gametype/map combination ever. The ball inevitably will end up near shotgun where it is near impossible to get to without being killed from the upper spawn points, let alone even come close to getting a couple of seconds. It's fucking terrible and should be removed.

Agree.

Finally got the most tedious part of Sandstorm 2.0 done - the top surface and ramps. On average, I had to place the double walls then save and quit to make sure they didn't shift too much about five or six times EACH. Yowza. Still left a couple small bumps in the corners, but bah. Good enough.

Lots of small tweaks being worked in that make driving on it better. Should finish the surface and the bases tonight, then do the tunnels tomorrow. Wrap up with weapons, spawns objectives on Friday, and it's all set for GAF customs Saturday.

In a match on Standoff last night there were 3 Bubble Shields up at the same time at one point. It's amazing to me that simple stuff like equipment respawn times have went unchanged since launch.
 
Hay guyz. Who wants to help me get unstuck by helping me design the defensive base? Mappers block am suck.

Those who do will get to see a sneak peek at my new map, first hand! =o

Once that is completed, I will have all I need in order to finish the rest of the map myself since I'm going to be basing the last building off the defensive base. Blocking off paths and what have you.

I'm on now so send a request over to DualX if interested since I'm on now. And remember, I need an experienced mapper(s) if possible. Thanks!
 
I've got the first playable build of my BTB map done. It's not like anything I've done before so I'm really unsure about how it'll play.

I downloaded a Prisoner "attempt" at a remake from ForgeHub and it was pretty pitiful. Lots of bumps and jumps that shouldn't be made. I'll download this and check it out.

If anybody is playing customs or fooling around in MM, invite me if you got room, plz. :P
 
Sadly there isnt one, we could always commission EasyB to remake it. :p

Judging by the size of the blocks on the picture i posted, it could be remade in the crypt as well.
