Yeah. I think you're probably right. I checked out the current gametypes for Team Objectives, and here's the list with type and percent chance to come up each game.
1. Multi Flag CTF (20.8%)
2. Multi Flag BR (14.9%)
3. One Flag (12.6%)
4. Assault (9.3%)
5. One Bomb (11.9%)
6. Neutral Bomb (5.6%)
7. Team Oddball (13.8%)
8. Team Crazy King (11.2%)
Out of those, here is what I think needs to go or be changed:
-(
Multi Flag)Okay, maybe it's just me, but what is the deal with multi flag? I mean it's alright, but it's definitely not better than Classic CTF. Good grief. Are people afraid of playing long CTF games? The entertaining edge that Classic Flag has over Multi Flag is the touch return and needing your flag in base to capture the other team's flag. It's an absolute amazing feeling when the other team is just about to score your flag and you kill the carrier and return the flag, instead. Period. End of story. Good bye. The end. It's always an epic feeling. Multi Flag turns into a cheap race of trying to capture 3 flags before the other team does. How uninteresting can you get? And with non-touch return, once a team gets a flag towards their half of the map, they're gonna score 9 times out of 10. That just isn't very exciting in my opinion. It's dull, more than dull even.

Neutral Bomb)This needs to go. One bomb and Assault are fun for exactly the opposite reason Classic CTF is fun. They're short and to the point. You have a chance to score, and you have a chance to defend. Then you swap sides. There is no stand off. Before you know it, the game is over and you've had a good little skirmish. 1 Flag is fun for the same reason. For the life of me, even in Halo2, I can't remember people ever enjoying neutral bomb. It's more of a chore than a good time. And in this case, a long game is a bad game. Nothing classic about it.
-(
Team Oddball)This needs to go, or the percent chance for the game to come up needs to be dropped way down. The problem with this gametype is that the number of people who like and dislike it are split. So you have games where team members aren't even trying. Or they're just trying to rack up how many kills they can get. Make it uber rare so that even the people who don't really like it, can appreciate it when it comes up. Otherwise, get rid of it altogether.
-(
Team Crazy King)Similar to Team Oddball, there is a big difference in the number of people who like this game type. You can try to win the game, but at the same time, allow your Kill/Death ratio to go to shit. Who wants to do that? I think most people would rather take the loss, and stand off to the side and rack up kills. Am I right? So get rid of this type too.
I think in the end, Bungie was or is trying to have a good variety of gametypes in each playlist. But this game has been out long enough and I think Bungie needs to stick with what works. They don't need a lot of variety within a playlist itself, just the best of the best. If you get tired or bored of it, that's when you switch playlists. So get rid of the crap, even if it means having a playlist of only 2-3 gametypes. Bungie needs to solidify what they've got, or they're gonna have playlists that no one likes and few people play. That's all there is to it in my opinion. If they want to force people to experience as much content as possible, do that in socials, not ranked.
