It's great to know that we're making fun of the govenor of Alaska's down syndrome child, Trig.

As for customs, I;m going out to eat and will be back like 8:00 Central time. So yall stay on till then so I can join in on the fun.

I really want to play this, Sanctum, BBC, Rise and some of Ghaleon's maps in matchmaking really soon.

They were too easily exploitable. you could still get into the base form the front if you wanted to. Its not a huge deal but It changes the map. the little jump ups are the only solution I could come up with. Merging the lifts into the blocks (wall of the base) made them disappear. Theres nothing in the forge palette that can stop them being mis-used :(

I'm open to suggestions on that if anyone has one...

yeah I saw it, Was pretty crazy. The last kill was a mental frag from top middle of Narrows to Man cannon. He died as the anouncer guy said "killtacular"

Holy shit Believe the Hype. That was sick. I wanna see this next series though, it should be sick. I'll probably be on right after that series if you guys are still down for some customs.
 
I've been checking out the MLG stream occasionally, caught the last game. Pretty good for a group like BtH (who's seeded 11th?) to beat the top seed team.
 
I didn't even think about it until just now, but I don't have the mythic map pack. Sorry about that. I wasn't thinking. I'll catch you guys another time. Thanks for trying to get me in though. I was wondering why I was having so much trouble. Then I realized it's because I'm an idiot.

Haven't downloaded your new variant, yet, but hopefully you kept in mind Halo 2's grenade number to Halo 3's set. Grenades are bad enough sitting on the ground from dead players. Probably don't need any frag spawns on the map outside the single frag on the side of the portal. :P

Hahaha, I finally figured out how to fix mine about two days ago and am now enjoying the benefits of an Open NAT :D

Im feeling good about customs I decide to try my luck at getting Brigadier in SWAT. My 3 teammates go negative and we lose, back down to 43... YAY!!!

Seriously Tashi Kevinro and Backflip get the fuck on and help me out, this shit is fucking annoying. Seriously I'm starting to believe the difference between a 45 and a 50 is who you know and not your skill level in Halo 3.

Good games:

Airstream
Instagibs (besides Facing Worlds)
Beaver Creek Flag and Slayer, need to make Slayer spawn team-side oriented same with Mage so CTF works for it.

Bad Games:

Great games. Thanks for trying out mah map while I was on. (And for pulling me back in every time the game booted me out WTF.)

I made some tweaks after the game from the feedback:

  • Set active camo respawn to 90 seconds, from the default 30. I didn't realize the default was so quick.
  • Added Spartan Laser to center of bridge.
  • Added small blocks outside the base walls so players can jump onto the gap in the tunnel from either side.
  • Moved the flag cap point off the block the flags spawns at, to be down in front of it (on top of the split wall). Had a hilarious moment where I was trying to cap a flag when someone else was trying to steal and we were jumping into each other. :lol

I thought it played fairly well, though it was just one game. I'd like to gather up three films for submission to Atlas, if we can round up 12 or so next customs night.

Customs was freakin sweet tonight. We had a 10 man party going for a while.

My impressions from the numerous maps we played:

Sanctum- Shit is perfect. Submit this map to Atlas. You have like 10 films of it. Get off your lazy ass Five.

Mage- The map really needs grav lifts. The blocks break up the flow of gameplay way to much. There was a Foundry Warlock remake that had the grav lifts in an indention and a sheld door and it worked very well. Also, the spawns in Multi flag are broken (as Mergy said). After this is fixed, the Atlas link is right above.

Ber Ber Creek- Although it's not the same size as the originals, this map is still a lot of fun. I'm not sure if you can get out of it still because we didn't try. It flows really well. Multi flag is extremely fun.

Entrenched- This map was a lot of fun, and we only had 5v5. I would imagine that a 6v6/8v8 would be perfect. As we discussed while playing, the sides of the bases need a way for people outside to jump up and into the base. Also, a laser on/under the bridge would help combat the really fast Hog rushes.

Age of Empire- This map is pretty sparse. A lot of cover needs to be added. It has potential.

Abbadon (sp?)- This map has some pretty fun vehicle encounters. There are plenty of options on foot too. Overall, a fun BTB map.

Turf- Spawns are sort of off. You need to switch objective attacker/defender sides. Besides that, the remake brings serious nostalgia to me. Really fun IMO.


I think that that's all of the maps. If I left one out, let me know and I'll give you some feedback. This was the most fun customs night yet, I think. Ghaleon joined halfway through when we began to play a few of the shenanigans maps. I'm sorta disapointed that we didn't play Basketball and Paintball, though.
