Like I told you earlier. Whenever I get a seemingly random FR I go and check their friends list to see if they are just random. Quickest way to do it is to scroll down to the T's and see if they have a TJ on their friends list. 9 times out of 10 I will see your name there and no one else's.

Just a heads up: if anyone want to send me a FR they should know that having Trasher on their list equates to an automatic block communications.

I don't know how these people get on my friends list!

I'm starting to wonder if its just random weirdos that I friended like 3 years ago in Halo 2, and then they think I'm some Bungie employee so they start sending mass friend requests to all the people on my friends list thinking they are Bungie employees as well. I should just clear out my entire list and start from scratch. I hardly recognize any of the tags on my list anymore. This is most likely due to name changes probably.



Oh and Juices, is it really that hard to put another "h" in there? Every time someone misspells "Shishka" in this thread I punch a kitten.

That's in 1440x900. I don't think my monitor (originally typed minotaur, wtf) supports anything higher than that. It's an Asus PW191 19".

Progress on Forsaken (Derelict) is finally starting to quicken. I was stuck for a while trying to figure out how I was going to make the base sloping of the map. In the end I just went with something that isn't quite exactly the same, the length of the slope is smaller, but it'll do. At one point I gave up because I was getting so frustrated. Everything is going sort of smooth now, but it still has a long way to go. I'll update with pics when it's more presentable. Not much to look at yet.

Since Bungie's next game after ODST is obviously going to be Forerunner Peggle, I don't think so. Just a few textures swaps, and then right back to XBL and Pizza.

The sky bubble is large and tall enough now that someone with a lot of time can create a H3 pachinko machine. Set the gametype to multibomb and drop the bomb down the the sky bubble trying to avoid pins of death while falling so your teammate at the bottom can land/plant the bomb at the bottom! :lol

Haha that's an awesome idea! I see one platform with one guy on it and a selection of man cannons. Bomb is dropped into one, hits the top of the pachinko board, and the other guy is at the bottom of the board ready to grab the bomb and plant it.

You could even earn points based on speed if you had the opposing team spawn in a spectator area that was a hill, earning a point every second or so.

EDIT: Oh wait, you can't combine gametypes, can you. Damn.

the answer to the issue is some way of finding people who want to play the same "highly configured experience" without putting it in matchmaking or subtracting too many players from the matchmaking population.

if i want to play rocket race, or grifball or high speed laser ball, i should be able to find some other people who do, too. maybe add lobbies or channels for people looking to play a certain gametype.

more advanced customisation and a real mapmaker seem like logical steps for halo 4, too

i played a game btb today and it was ctf heavies on valhalla. 2 teammates immediately quit. we hold them off for all most the entire game they get a cap with about one min to go and 2 more people quit. :(

i left and went back to forge.

And because playing co-op with you is a trial.
The teamkilling frenzies should have been enough. Was it really necessary to get in that first hornet and immediately blow up the others, leaving the rest of us stranded on the beach? Or betray me just to steal those rockets I'd been saving, so you could waste the rounds?

I don't blame you, 3 days ago, I had the worst luck ever, made me seriously think about quiting til the maps come!. I love it when you get betrayed becasue you get to a weapon first, then you (of course want revenage) and betray him, and get booted.
4 games in a row, I got booted. 3 or which were accidental, but still, and to top it off with all the quitter's (always on my team.) Has the boot feature been explained, or is it random to come up!
 
Anyone else having an issue connecting to games?

I thought it was just Mythic, but it seems to be all playlists for me. Just when I'm about to join a game, it restarts...

I just want to play one game before I crash.

Yeah, both me and a friend thought it was just us, so we went at it alone, and then both were still having issues.

Finds all the players, then restarts.

Twitter, FB statuses, and bungie.net are all freaking out haha.
 
Seeing Shishka's name mis-spelled makes me feel like I'm on the HBO message boards 8 years ago, just with fewer professional engineers figuring out the science of the Halo.

Plus, I can see more than 1 post per click.
