The HBO article was actually written up by KP. (I only joined them for a few minutes... I didn't get enough playtime to really form reasonable opinions.)

I rendered the videos we're posting, though. :D

(It's going to be a little bit late, I think, because KP sent a link to the screenshots he wanted me to use... but it doesn't work, and he's not around yet.)

Me and my brother are going through this on co-op since he has never played it.
I forgot how fantastic the ai is. People are constantly praising FEAR but I think
Halo 3 is pretty much unmatched. These bastards play like real people most of
the time.

Okay, imagine a quadriplegic being attacked by a wolf... and at the last second, just before the wolf rips his throat out (for the 1500th time), he manages to shove an arm stump down the wolf's gob, choking it.

the crypt looks alot bigger than wizard/warlock... looks from sanctuary to hang 'em high sized to me

so, what did alkaline leak? lasers attack you instead of mines now?
 
Great article at HBO. I got a kick out of a few of KP's typos though.

The most exciting part about this map pack is the potential that Sandbox holds. Much like Foundation, Sandbox is completely forgeable, the default map being made out of objects which can be wiped out to create a blank slate.

Then we moved down into the crypt for another game, in a map designed for that area by a Bungie tester. We played about five different variants on that map in just an hour, and with Bungie providing near limitless tools to the community, the possibilities are mind-bottling.

That's your choice, but even ignoring the "Microsoft mishandling" reasoning (no matter which side you're on), though I somewhat liked the demo, it didn't leap out at me enough to buy the game, much less the CE, since I don't usually return/trade in games.

It's a Scarab manufacturing plant, presumably within High Charity.

The sheer potential of Sandbox is unbelievable. When you look at all of the earnest remake attempts on Foundry and you see the palette size and style for Sandbox, you can't help but grin.

Maps like Boarding Action, Hang 'Em High, Derelict, Prisoner, Rat Race, Sanctuary, Ascension, Turf and Warlock seem like very realistic possibilities now. I wonder if anyone will attempt a version of Damnation or if someone will be able to do Ivory Tower justice. I made fun of a few people for sketching some specs on sheets of paper for maps they were planning on building with Sandbox and then, the next day, I grabbed a notebook and filled it up with my own.

It's a scarab assembly facility ;)

If you look up at the skybox during a match you'll actually see the process in action, undeniably awesome, but completely distracting. I'll probably have to stare at it for a few good hours to get it out of my system before actually being able to get some competitive matches going on it.

Thanks, figured there'd be a writeup with it but it wasn't up there when the videos were first posted. Not sure if I can trust the opinions of someone who passes up a fresh chopper though.

and of course Assembly + Orbital look very nice. And since having played Assembly at PAX, I know it plays well as well. :D
 
That territories footage on Assembly sent chills down my spine. If Territories is weighted more heavily than multi-flag and classic multi-flag so hope Shishka, I will throw a hissy-fit.
