Alright, so I haven't read the article (only looked at the screens), but I don't understand how this second tier thing works.

The simple explanation is: THE BLUE GRID LIVES!

The more complex one, from what I can tell from the pics and from the article, is that there's a large soft-ceiling, similar to "Snipe 12" from Blackout. Players can set Forge objects on the ceiling (represented by the grid), but they can move across it. The only way you can get there is by accessing a teleporter to it, for which one is tucked away in Forge somewhere near the ground floor. You can add more teleporters once you've started building floors, tunnels or anything else that's incredibly awesome.

And the shit is big. Super big. Shit is brilliant and so simple. I guess that if the camera had looked down just a tad before Luke tossed that nade in the Edge video, we'd have seen the skybox and the ground floor of the map. Holy crap.

As incredible as this looks (and it really does look incredible), it's still not enough for me to get over the shameless shilling of the Mythic maps with Halo Wars, and I really hope people stick to their guns and refuse to get the LE, and wait for the regular Marketplace release. You really would be doing us all a favour to make sure this doesn't happen again, but I can understand this is a gigantic temptation.

If I wanted Halo Wars, there's no question I'd be getting the LE, but I tried the demo and didn't care for it, and temptation or no, I am not spending $80 on some maps that will end up being free down the line (and included in the next Halo anyway), and up on the marketplace soon enough.
