I'm in 7 on the 7th playlist, silly. ;)
And I can't remember, but have you tried the Halo Wars demo?

Edit: And a snipers match on Avalanche = me crying.

Ahh Yeah, I've tried it. Confirmed my intention to purchase it did.

I'll take that, except with a Sniper and Beam Rifle. What was the after math of that by the way?
What you can't see is they are swaming to the flag just off to the right. So I elected to pick off the two closest - double kill - and then two more after landing. Finished one with a BR, so I took out five of the seven. We scored. :D (It was One Flag.)

The whole episode was kind of bananas. When Bungie Pro gets the convert to video feature, I'm going to have so many of those segments ready to go. :lol

A nice ass kicking you say? I love happy endings

When? Is it definitely in the works? That'd be awesome.

I find getting a height advantage gives results in much better success. So yeah, if you want to find me look for the perch overseeing the rest of the arena :P

I had to sneak up there ninja style and kill you, and then later on you found your way back up top.

I had the best comeback in awhile today. I was playing Neutral Assault on Avalanche, and the other team was quickly able to detonate two bombs. I'm not sure what happened, but four people on my team quit, leaving only me and two others remaining. So we played defense for about a minute or two, successfully preventing the opposing team from getting another detonation and winning the game.

For some reason, three people on their team quit (I think they were fooling around), leaving it 4 to 3. We managed to tie it up and win the game in the end.

Hadn't had a game like that in awhile.

Ha ha, I actually had a very similar experience yesterday, same map same gametype: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=961299643&player=Sp4ceman%20Sp1ff

Three people on our team quit early into the match, and then a fourth a few minutes later, leaving 3 of us against all but one of their team.

Somehow, we managed to work together and coordinate well enough, (without mics no less), to hold them off and win 3-1.

I haven't had nearly as much time as I'd like to play lately, and I can't say the rest of my experience this weekend was as satisfying, (randoms...), but that one match made it worth it. Maybe I'll get to play some more in another month or so. :/

I enjoy the flowery writing, but I would get a kick out of an Update that consisted entirely of seven bullet points, one sentence each. :lol
I think it'd be fun if there were an update that just said, "Pistol = yes." It could mean anything (such as, the pistol still exists in Halo 3,) but would spawn so much hilarious speculation.

You need to go back a little ways.

Matt's second Halo update (October 13, 2000) consisted of 7 bullet points - they were more than a sentence each, but still...

Didn't watch most of it, just kind of skipped around... my one main thought,

What the hell is wrong with MS and these film studios, that they can't get a feature film put together? Seriously?

Without the proper focus, maybe MS is scared that it will turn out like so many other game-to-movie properties. It needn't be the case, but history isn't our friend here.

Deepblue (Echo Eagle) has informed me not to watch the Halo Wars cutscene posted above because it has major spoilers for the plotline of Halo Wars.

So if you want to enjoy Halo Wars as much as possible, please do not watch the cutscenes.

For those that have watched it, please be sure to warn readers and include spoiler tags if you talk about it.

Now that I watched it again I realized that
the game is heavily tied into the events of Ghosts of Onyx.

I hated the demo but now it's a day one purchase.

There's not much info on the Peter Jackson Halo project (Chronicles)
which is a bad sign
but it could be an even better fit than Halo movie.

I'm sure thats a big part of it, but....
My point is, why can't these two parties both see this as a potential 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, get along, get out of each other's way, and get the job done (making a ton of money at the finish-line). You'd think the built in halo-audience alone could at least justify throwing some real scratch at the film, or at least the fact that during each games release they set the highest sales records of their time.

Mind-boggling.

or at least release the rights so another studio can make a Halo movie without their interference

"We're a software and hardware company," he said. "If they want to do a movie deal, that's not our core business."

I need to write a fan Halo script. The movie is in my damn head after reading the books and picking and choosing scenes. That said, I love Blur's work on the cinematics. They are an incredible cg/post house and if any game movie needs a full cg treatment I'd pick Halo for it.

So I take it that video has every cutscene in the game in it? Gah, must not look, must not look.

Video's a pretty cool guy.

The movie suffered a pretty huge blow when Fox and Universal decided to bail out of their joint deal for the movie. Don't know how you can recover from two major studios saying "i'm done" to the Halo movie.

But I'm sure it's more of the studios not wanting to do it than Microsoft not wanting to do it. Here's to hoping Warner Bros. takes the leap and picks up the rights to do the film. They can afford it what with TDK and all.
