And dammit, EXP ain't workin. And I just found the playlist to get the 7 on 7 achievement (Squad Battle) in and none of it counted :(

Squad Battle pretty much reminds me of the campaign. And WTF do you use to kill a tank? Another tank, perhaps?

One of the thousands of lasers scattered around the heavy variant map I presume you were playing on. If you don't get lasered on the way to one, that is.

It takes two Laser shots to take down a tank. Still shouldn't be a problem since I think on the heavy variant, you spawn with a Laser primary, a Laser secondary, there are sixteen lasers scattered across the map, four 'hogs that shoot lasers from their turrets, and four heavy vehicles that shoot lasers from their primary and secondary guns.

So anyway, that's how you take down a tank.

I'm rewatching the video and the laser definitely damaged the tank. I was too far away to notice and just assumed that I couldn't kill it with a laser :(

Needs less (read: NO) lasers, maybe a rocket or two more, and PLASMA PISTOLS.


Is 7 on 7 live for everyone or is it time zone specific? I have 7 exp on doubles and would love to walk in the living roomand take care of it right now. I am on west coast (pacific time).

Just did DLC BTB and we won (by a landslide) but got no damn EXP... I better not get cheated out of my 7 on 7 achievement damnit :lol

Every time I go into this playlist, someone on my team quits. This time, everyone quit and so for the first time ever, I just turned off the TV and walked away as to save my 0 negative XP. So freaking ridiculous.

Yeah I'm waiting for this to happen to me since I'm trying to knock the rust off by playing in Social (plus get the 7 on 7). Hasn't yet but since I've posted this it probably will.
 
EXP is working on Social Slayer for me. However, EXP isn't working for me on Squad Battle.

Too bad I already have 40 EXP on Social Slayer -_- I'll try Rumble Pit
 
EXP not working in Rumble Pit (for me). :( But I had a good game, nonetheless. I was playing against two 50s and a 49

Question, say when the new dashboard comes out and you can install games. Can I install a good copy of H3 to my HD and then play with my scratched disc? Because I'll just borrow H3 from a friend or rent it and install that, that way I can load all the maps that can't be loaded on my scratched disc.

I don't see why I shouldn't be able to because I do own the game. I guess I'm asking if the installations will be disc specific or something?

The install shouldn't be dependent on one disc, just as your game saves aren't dependent on one disc at the moment. That being said, obviously the Xbox needs to be able to read your scratched disc enough to be able to identify it as a Halo 3 disc. Other than that, there shouldn't be anything hindering you from playing with the scratched one.

I usually don't enjoy Heavy gametypes, but yesterday I had a Heavy Big Team Slayer match on Sandtrap which was a blast. But that might have been because we beat the other team something like 100-46. :)
 
i was in hospital for over a week, any news on the "keep it clean" thing? will there be something at tgs (press conference)?

Usually Halo and Halo related things (AR is better then BR by the way) but sometimes people just go off on whatever they feel like.

And the insanity (of which I personally enjoy, though I know others don't) of 30-45 second respawning lasers on heavy variants.

And a long recurring debate about the pros and cons of the assault rifle versus the battle rifle.

Hmm...guess that last two might actually be on topic. Oh well, can't win all the time.

Um....Halo 3 :D

Side note: Yesterday was by far and away my worst day of Haloing for a long time. I was sucking donkey balls. HARD! Couldnt go positive in Team Slayer or MLG and barley went positive in a Social Slayer. I'm hoping I was just tired. That or someone stole my mojo :(
 
Ugh, just won a DLC Big Team match which should have let me reach 7 EXP. But the EXP wasn't added on. Even though the EXP for my first match earlier was added (I started on 5 today). >:(
Stupid Bungle.

I guess I'll play another game later.
