MM froze up my 360 too. =(

After waiting for 10-20 mins for a match and then loosing badly due to quitters and now this, well fuck Halo today.
 
Yeah, my Xbox froze three times while in matchmaking...Live's still fucked
 
I go to play Team Snipers and then something called Team Splasers comes up on Valhalla... Huh? It wasn't terrible or anything, but it's confusing.
 
What about a Splaylist?

Spartan Lasers and a Random secondary. A bit of boosted speed like maybe 125%.

Sounds kinda fun. I dunno I love the Splazer.

2x EXP weekend of course, not permanent.
 
For some reason, the Halo 3 player base seems to be more split than ever. It was split between the "skilled" and the "casual" in Halo 2 and you could tell in every game who was "skilled" and who was not, but up until now I thought Halo 3 had avoided that. After playing the past few days I'm not feeling that way anymore.

It happens quite often, actually. Especially with power weapons and in FFAs.

Also, try getting in a Hornet or Mongoose with the flag while taking incoming enemy fire from all directions. Not so easy.

Other than that, Bumper Jumper is worth getting used to. I used to use Green Thumb, but I found that being able to consistently zoom without taking your right thumb off the aim stick is essential (for sniping, BRing, and everything else).

I'm never putting a credit card on an account again. You can never remove them unless calling in and going through a long process. Which makes it almost impossible to go from gold to silver in case you want to take a month off Live. Seriously the Live policies are fucking bullshit.

This is why you should also Claw with Bumper Jumper. That way you can still press B without ever letting go of the aimer. Still if not the B button on BJ picking up weapons and entering vehicles isn't a huge deal because you can't shoot for a portion of time anyway after picking up a weapon or entering a vehicle because H3 is lame. This way you can pick it up and you should be able to get your thumb back on the aimer in time to pull off an aimed first shot.
 
Anyone think that Social Slayer should be back to it's original form, 5 vs. 5? If Social Skirmish can remain 5 vs. 5, why not Social Slayer? I'm not opposed to it, but wasn't really a fan of the shrinkage.

A solution could be that they could bring back DLC slayer. It's 4 vs. 4 and it's social. The only downside is that it's on DLC maps, but if they did it like DLC Big Team, mixing some original maps into the equation, DLC Slayer could effectively become the replacement. It gives a party of five the option to keep the party intact and do slayer, instead of objective etc.

As a side note, I didn't talk too much, sorry guys. I was really tired, since I woke up at 6:00am, listen to two lectures worth three hours. Rinse and repeat for tomorrow, minus one lecture.

And no, Blood, I am not afraid of Team Jesus. Actually did I imagine you saying that I was afraid of Team Jesus in reply to me not talking?
 
I'm an achievement whore, haven't been playing lately cause I have 6 EXP and am waiting for the 7th of the month to get the Vidmaster 7 on 7 achievement. Kinda sad =/

You have 6 EXP in every playlist? There's going to be a new playlist that day, anyway, so don't worry about it. You can still play as much as you want before then.

It's Thursday night, and Team Snipers has nearly 33,000 players. It's quite apparent people join it because it's just there. Not fun or anything.

Yeah, I enjoyed SS being 5v5 as well but at least with 4v4 you don't have to push to talk. And now with the addition of Squad Battle we no longer have to go to Social Skirmish with 5 in the party.

And there is no reason to fear Team Jesus. They're just a bunch of elitists trying to bring us common Halo GAF people down. One day we shall all rise up.

Well its like apparently the constant threads at b.net asking for a snipers playlist and the fact that to stop them they had to make a Discuss a TSnipers playlist in here thread, means people DONT want a TS playlist. Either does the fact that it was successful in H2 and either does the fact that its been demanded enough that they've put it on x2 EXP weekend what 4 times now?

No, all the signs indicate Team Snipers wouldn't be a good playlist, nobody wants that shit.

Played some shotty snipes today, I played ok, not the best, I was trying out 4 sensitivity instead of 3 and felt a huge difference. The only problem I have is shotty snipes, they might as well take out the snipes in the name, I expect to have some epic no-scope fights but no, I get the whole team flanking with shotguns, and unless I can pull off 4 no scopes in 2 seconds, I'm pretty much screwed. Other than that, I got a few regular snipe games, favorite was my first one, Snipers on Blackout, tons of fun because it actually took skill for people to try and kill each other with no scopes instead of shotguns.

i been doing green thumb for some time, i tend to assasinate more then anything and always felt being able to hit and not have to remove my thumb last second helped get that kill. could be wrong though.

As for sending it in...I'm torn between that and a 60 gig for downloading games come NXE.
 
That spawns on Standoff are completely fucked for Team Snipers - the first game I played of it tonight, the other team at the very beginning managed to to kill 2 of us and take the top of our base, then they got 35 kills towards 50 because if someone is on the top/behind of the cliffside base, it will not spawn you in that base. So the 3 of us (one guy quit about after being spawn killed a few times) spent about 3 or 4 minutes spawning out in the open and dying literally within 1-2 seconds until we finally managed to get up and retake the top of one of the bases, but it was a moot point by then.

I was thinking about playing Snipers this weekend to try to get better with snipes, but if this is a usual occurrence (which I'm told it is) then fuck that. We've had a few bad instances of being spawn killed on Standoff with Warthogs under the same scenario (it won't spawn you in the base if they're on top of it), but it's ten times worse with sniper matches.

I'm not even sure why you act as though you're up against some great army of posters who don't want a permanent Team Snipers playlist. You're preaching to the choir here, pal. Nobody here's going to complain if we get a Team Snipers playlist. I think I'd speak for most of us, however, in saying that the choir is getting a bit tired of the constant preaching.

Yeah shotguns are not fun in snipe games. Especially on Narrows.

Anyone else wish you could have weapon-specific sensitivity? It's a ridiculous thing to request but the ability to snipe on 4 and BR on 3 without having to go into a menu would be hot hot hot.

Yeah, snipes on standoff would work if it wasn't for the spawns, the areas way behind the bases, the spawn camping, and thats about it, maybe.
