I don't care about the other ones, but Bungie has said there's something conming down the pipe that will tie into the Vidmaster ones. So I want those.
 
Sorry about bailing last night, in between bitching with a girl and playing Splockets I kind of lost my desire to play at the time. :lol

You know, instead of complaining about people who like to get achievements (I get them because they are fun to do), you could (emphasizing "could" here) go and start that discussion about a specific map that you were talking about earlier. You said you were going to do something nice for the post that would start off the discussion.

Yep, I agree it was an absolute blast! I am in Kentucky and I did it with one feller in England and two fellers in Australia. It was a little laggy, but I reckon it's pretty amazing that it works at all. So cool and smooth speeding away on those ghosts. Great achievement!

I could, but I'd rather complain about achievement sluts.

Besides, I was going to, I had everything prepared and ready, but I decided that it probably would've been a gimmick and wouldn't have actually been discussed (threads within threads don't work) and it would've ended up being a waste of time. Plus, I didn't want to interrupt the discussion of who said what about who, and who goes to who's high school, and who is ruining the thread, and how they're ruining the thread; and now that there's actually something to talk about (and there might be more to discuss tomorrow), I'm just going to save it.

Nevermind. I wanted footage of a Ghost run so I could take screenshots, but I just finished it with Niterider, Merguson, and txlonghornie.

One of the best achievements ever. It was extra stressful near the end since Merguson doesn't have a mic, we kept asking whoever was in the back "Where's Merguson?! Is he still alive??"

I can't believe Shake hasn't posted it in here yet; we did the annual achievement an hour or two ago, and it was insane. It was me, Shake, and two of his friends. I'm in the US, and they're all in various places in Europe; almost the entire game was the choppiest, laggiest thing I've ever done. It probably took us twice as long as it should have, but it was so sweet when we got it.

How out of the loop have I been? I just saw they added 750 new achievement points to Halo 3. There goes my feeling of accomplishment :P. Some of them look pretty cool. Now, to completely look like an achievement whore, I'll start playing again this weekend.
 
I don't know what's worse:

Numbers quitting half-way through Halo, or Sai-kun running ahead like a headless chicken and getting himself killed. On numerous occasions.

Wish you and your cat luck man. We took my 12 year old (black lab mix) dog to the vet to get surgery to remove his tumors last week... the vet said he was doing fine later after the surgery, walking around good. Then the next day the vet went went in early and found him... yeah ='( My aunt's dog died at that same vet... we should've never taken him there, who knows how they treat their animals. :(

Eh. I am not even sure it will be Friday. Tomorrow I have an early release from school, so TGA can probably get on, and if so, we'll do it then. But if not then, then definitely Friday. For a specific time, I'll have to get back to you on that; probably in the afternoon.

TU2 FAQ at Bungie

Q: Bungie only talked about 10 achievements and 250 gamer points but Xbox.com shows many more achievements for Halo 3 now and a total of 750 new points to earn. What’s up with that?

A: The work for the Halo 3 Title Update and the new achievements began long, long ago. At that time, we had one view of the future of Halo 3 and a general plan for how, when and where some of the remaining multiplayer maps would get released. Those plans have since changed. We do have new maps still coming to Halo 3 but the release specifics are still being worked out with our partners. We didn’t want to delay the release of TU2 as there are still a lot of cool things about it that do benefit players immediately so we decided to forge ahead. The downside is that you now have to stare at mysterious achievements with no context until all is revealed at a later date. Rest assured though that they aren’t going anywhere, they will still be there, ready to be earned when the time is right.

Yeah, nobody ever uses it anymore. Is it really that big a deal for people to occasionally get together in this thread to play?
 
The mods threaten to close down this thread because of the "who wants to play?" talk. I would prefer it intact. Talk on MSN/AIM, send private messages on NeoGAF or Xbox Live, I don't care but keep that shit out.


You don’t have to beat the entire game in a Ghost, but feel free to try if you want.

Yep I'm Bluegrass born and raised, however, my better but pastier half is from England. So I drink tea with my fried chicken and sip bourbon with my bangers 'n mash.
