I enjoy being a warthog driver, but I tend to avoid it when playing by myself because I either get someone whos completly useless or someone who decide that they have to shout to me what to do. Theres a reason why I don't drive on the side of a hill with 4 guys shooting and throwing grenades at meh.

I've found that it can be either a complete waste of time with randomers, or a great experiance. For some reason I have only found randoms that fall under either one of those two extreme categories. They either drive straigh towards the guy with rocket/laser, park, and beep the horn to ensure his attention is focused correctly, or the gunner that hops on throws a magical anti-laser/rocket/bullets/magic shroud over the warthog and nothing but my occasionally bad driving decisions can stop us.

Although the best driving comes when you have another guy in the room with you, and you've driven around each map countless times and you expect atleast 20+ wheelmen each game.... =)

I miss those days.

The other day I through a bubble shield down and it completely disappeared. It kinda forced me to get an Overkill though which was nice.

I wandered over to RBTB last night, and despite the long search times, had an epic good time. Ran into the "heavy" variant of Valhalla twice and Standoff once. Really great stuff.

I also thwarted a Warthog on Valhalla by deploying a bubble shield, and then charged up my laser, stepped forward - and committed suicide because it fired when I was inside the shield by about an inch. Epic fail. I couldn't even get myself to take pics, and usually I put my humiliation on display.
 
So, I'm having a love affair with the Carbine here recently, you can't really kill good people if they have a BR against you, but man is it fun against bad people. :P It's also one of the few redeeming factors about Team Slayer on HC Snowbound.

Hehe, I think you can out-Rifle(?) someone up-close if they're using a BR and you're using a Carbine. :P

but srsly that snowbound ts match last night sucked :(
 
My first Gamevee video! :D Next time, the only way I'm gonna wait this long for a video is if I get hit with a laser that automatically gives me recon and then I go on to rack up 14 perfections in a single game.

Or maybe I'll just know exactly how long I have to wait next time :)

Seven blank sections were spotted on the Heatmaps section of every Gamertag stats page on Bungie.net which hints at the possibily of seven new multiplayer maps, Bungie has since then removed those spaces.

I didn't get to catch this "oopsy" with the Heatmaps when the new stats page went live yesterday, so it may be a hint.

But some other posters in that thread said some of the blank heatmaps could be from the altered maps of Epitaph, Snowbound, Sandtrap and The Pit. Seems plausible, but then that still leaves 3 questionable heatmaps.

I don't know, the maps are just forged variants. True, they use a special Bungie-only forge to remove the shield doors and elephant, but I do not think they would constitute an entirely new heatmap, nevermind seven.

Could also just be a placeholder slip.

It's no secret at all that there new maps, atleast what, three or four that we know of? Moonbase, Assembly, and others I'm forgetting?

EDIT:

Adding Epitaph, The Pit, etc. side maps wouldn't make sense to me. Wouldn't the names be Pit Stop and Boundless -- so on and so forth?
 
Boundless, Epilogue, Sand Tarp, Pit Stop, etc., will be listed as forge variants for the maps. I'm sure Luke can confirm that much.

Wal-Mart says Halo: Blue is releasing September 30th, so we'll see soon maybe?

I guess that would make sense as well... but why would the leaked achievements only list the 6 maps and not the 7th then? You going to try and convince me that the map was far along enough to get a heatmap, but not have its achievement skull placed in there?

Seems fishy to me.

I just don't see why everyone can't look at how hard of a time bungie had getting one free map out of MS and think, no way we get a second one. I even have a hard time picturing MS releasing a 6map map-pack over two 3map map-packs.
 
I can't see Pit Stop needing its own Heatmap. It isn't even changing besides the fact you cant go up top.

The other maps are going to change gameplay wise without the shield doors but I doubt they will get their own Heatmap either.

Personally the only one I think would possibly deserve its own heatmap is Sandtarp.

I was in a party with a few people a while back (I can't remember who was there), and somebody said Halo: Blue was just a Halo-themed USB Hub. Could be wrong, though, since Halo: Blue is listed with all the video games.

If you look at the pic, it says it's a M rated Shooter coming out for Xbox 360.
