Me being, well, Ghaleon, I leap back and throw a trip mine. I was hoping the Ghost would go to the left. Alas. I drop to safety and had to watch the film to get the full story.

On the flip side, the explosion somehow reached two of the guys in the 'Hog - Double-kill. Check the distance they have from the mine - it's as if the blast chained through the parked Warthog and into them. They're well outside the blast radius. The driver is okay for another second, before the Ghost polishes him off.

BUT WHAT'S THIS. Zenerfide survives the blast. The two dudes 20 feet away in the Warthog get blown right out of their seat.

I knew that the trip mine had two different strength blasts - one that only strips shields for infantry, and a much more powerful one for vehicles. I didn't realize it was actually one blast, and it affects vehicles and infantry differently.

That's one possible reason he lived. Really, he probably survived because of the Flight helmet. That or the unicorn.

I'm going with the unicorn.

I don't know how many times this has been asked, or how possible it is to be made but..

Is there anyway, that Bungie can make for "race maps" to actually track how many laps you've been racing?? ..(to create modes like the last racer on the map gets elimitated at the end of the lap, etc..)

The only way i know to creat a lap counter is to make it a VIP Game (Escort variant I think) and each time the VIP gets to a destination he gets 1 point. The problem you have is that if the destination is the satrt/finish line, the guy in second is going to get there and get a point without going around the track cos hes behind the guy that just got the 1st one (if that makes sense).

The way you can get around it is by having, say, 3 checkpoints around the map so the guy in 1st is always gonna be 1st to get there, which is fair.

As for elimination style racing, I dont think its possible without honour rules :/

Here's a video of one of my own wacky/epic escape moments from a game of Neutral Assault on Rat's Nest. The magic happens about 40 seconds in, and at the time I was just as confused as the other guy. :lol But I went on to score thanks to a beatdown and a plasma grenade from the grave.

I saw you jump up on that beam and thought, wow, that's a decent place to attack from... and then the guy came out the door and passed right by and I laughed a lot. :lol :lol
 
So has anyone ever ran into 3-plots in matchmaking? I am pretty sure it isn't in there at all. I just remember such epic 3-plot matches in Halo 2 and can't for the life of me understand why it isn't at least in the mix with territories, am I the only one?

3 plots doesnt exist as a game mode in halo 3.

Because he changed his e-mail address in the GAF user options area and lost his posting privileges. He's not "banned," technically. He just can't post for some reason. But it's going to get really old if people keep posting as his proxy. I shouldn't have done it, I just figured I'd let folks know why he wasn't posting.

I almost changed my email to my gmail account after I got setup, but I remember reading that if you change it, it needs to be revalidated and I thought that would probably prevent me from changing it to a "banned" email address place.

Good thing I didn't.

I'd do it, albeit totally under-qualified.
I want to break into gaming division or work for a games' studio one day.

My skill set is in direct advertising unfortunately, but there is a ton of overlap and we both work in teams following a similar creative process... one day I suppose.

It should be the default territories set up IMO. The way territories is now is just a zurg rush, and not very exciting as many people have complained in here in the past, I just wish 3-plots was at least an option....:(

To Cocop: this is what Merguson did in that Infection game that had me in tears (think of everything that happens at that time: the explosion, the Elite backflip, the noise he makes when he dies, the fact that he saw the trip and me shooting at him yet still decided to continue onward :lol )

While we are talking about what we would like to do at Bungie, sign me up for the web team. ASP.Net, SQL Server, that's what I do now. :D
