Tonight while playing MLG on my lonesome, I partied up with a group which consisted of two dudes and a young lady. She was way better than me. This made me sad panda. Ive had a few ladies on my friends list over the years. Never has one been so superior to me in the art of the BR. On the bright side I had fun with randoms despite playing like turd and losing KotH on The Pit 3 times in a row :/

In that situation you probably wouldn't have gotten those kills with a BR. At least not as fast as you did.

So what have we seen in terms of changes and features from where we were from Halo 1 to where we are now with Halo 3? I could name some, but I'm mind boggled with something else.

In the various news and BWU threads. GAF has a policy for Official Threads - it's like 2 weeks prior to the game or something like that for most cases.

So why can't there be a Halo Wars weekly update thread. Ensemble does a weekly update, and then we could discuss all Halo Wars stuff there in the mean time.

No one said there couldn't be. The mods might not think that there's enough info in the thread to keep it open (most of Ensemble's updates are just a paragraph or so), but the worst that would happen would be that it'd get locked. If you wanted to put together a pre-release news thread with a good OP that rounds up all of the news so far for folks, that would be probably be okay, too. I think, honestly, it's just that there aren't that many folks excited for the game. Hopefully, that'll change once it comes out. Hopefully, it's good.

I guess he meant changed his e-mail address on here? I know that's an option... naybe something screwed up somehow. Or maybe he changed it to a gmail or hotmail address and since you're not supposed to use those, his account got disabled. Well, at least I know now not to try and change my e-mail address. : /

I've seen this happen on another vB forum I moderate, though it doesn't have the "no free email accounts" restriction. In general, I think the problem is people have to confirm their account via email activation at their new email address. I don't remember if GAF uses email activation, though, so it might be a different problem.

Someone could pm an admin if they felt pity for him, I guess.
 
Here is my map.

It is pretty good. I remade Blood Gulch on it, pretty good. Also made Ghaleon's room and a place I like to call Sanctuary (I lined up Plasma Pistols outside, only weapons allowed inside the holy zone). There is even a room dedicated to Oddball. I didn't do anything with the spawns yet but it still works the way I want it to.

It is pretty much the most versatile map ever created, Bungie should hire me.
 
Gabe Newell, managing director and co-founder of Valve, told VideoGamer.com at Leipzig Games Convention that they will release Xbox 360 and PC demo of Left 4 Dead.

"We will be releasing demos for both the Xbox and for the PC. I don't know what the date is for release on that, though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be Hospital but I'm not sure. That's a decision that Doug Lombardi is making."

Newell confirmed that you'll be able to play single-player and co-op in the demo.

Win, I wish Halo could have some sort of mode where waves of enemies would launch against you. Left 4 Dead isn't like that, but it looks great and intense. This would make Halo intense.

Is that secret room the same as the destroyed room on Cortana that has the other Terminal that doesn't count towards the 7? Or is it on Cortana at all?

Also is Gamevee starting to take a lot longer than usual? I think its going on 6 hours now and its still not up.
