Str8 executes 3 perfect caps. Blocks needler spawn nades mauler spawn stands on base spawn forces them to spawn courtyard gets them 4 down and then rushes it through empty hall on the other side of the map. So pretty.

@Differentlevel was actually my favorite, but it didn't have a MLG variant at the time of download. Really badass layout though.

mlg's forge forum is a good place to find really good foundry maps, and the people who post on it aren't as inflammatory as everybody else on the forums
Maps that you need to download and play on (of the balanced and more arena-style type):
MLG - Impact : seriously whoa
Hype : Less amped than amped.
Lockdown : my least favorite of the bunch. Not to say its lacking though.
Triumph : Actually uses the whole floor space of foundry very well.
@DifferentLevel : My personal favorite. Radars-off an absolute must. Hold the top.

and why not make chess comparisons? maybe the amount of thinking that goes into an fps isn't as much as in something like chess, but the speed at which you have to make decisions while trying to communicate with your teammates and stay on the same page with them and aiming very precisely is pretty taxing. there's certainly something there to appreciate; maybe not quite as much as chess, but a game doesn't have to match a game that's been played for centuries to be considered a sport.
