Lorraine McLees posted over at HBO and said that the current Cole Protocol cover is just a "sketch." I think the final cover will be the same thing, it will just look a lot better.

Also, urk, are you still doing film clips? I've got one that I'd like to have captured - here. I get a Killtac/Extermination on Avalanche for the final flag grab. No prob if you're not doing that stuff any more.

That might be best cover out of all the series. Is it a different artist?
No as far as I know it's not. As said, Lorraine posted over at HBO, saying that's still Issac Hannaford.
It's just a really different style.
Plot wise that looks like Threshold in the backround {as guessed by DHalo too}, which could be big.

Has Bungie detailed what "The Cole Protocol" is about?
The Spartan "Gray Team." All we know is that they've been "far away" for a really long time on some sort of secret mission - that info has been provided in past Halo novels.

Shit, that post I made was the last one before I went to sleep last night, and I thought that juice's post was the real weekend playlist hopper :lol . Some of those looked pretty awesome :(

Weekend Grifball is up apparently, with a slight variant on the map according to the bungie post, but I haven't had a chance to get on yet.

Letdown. All you did was rattle the doorknob?!? You didn't even try looking for an open window are air vent :(
I'm sorry, Eazy, but if Jerome was there, I would have made an attempt, or at least I would have asked. I was ready to pose with him and everything.

It might also detail the actual Cole Protocol and how it came to be? :P

What makes you think he'd want to do that with you in the first place?

I'm fairly positive the Cole Protocol existed long before any Spartans did.

lol, me too. I mean, the dude fought a fricken bear. A BEAR, for chrissakes. How much more awesome can you get?
Exactly. I didn't mean to offend Cliffy, but Jerome is well known among my circle of friends for his feats of awesomeness, and that picture where he is holding the Brute Hammer is way too badass.
Dax01 said:
Because Jerome's a cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything.
:lol

It was enacted after or during the Harvest campaign which sadly will be retconned by Halo Wars. I guess that finally confirms that the novels belong into a separate EU like continuity :-(

I really hope that Ensemble won't bring the Flood into the Harvest campaign as it has been rumored.

We really need to see what kind of permits we need for Jerome to be able to shoot on sight. I should ask for the security tapes and put Dax checking the door in the weekly update.

"Gaze, sweet Internet, as this homely pre-teen attempts to infiltrate Bungie."
<awkward youth enters frame, presses face to glass, moving his sweet white hat to the side to peer in>
"Now, he will see if the door works."
<a small hand gingerly tugs at the door, fails>
"Yeah, we keep it locked, imagine that!"

Do it; that will be worth a weekly update by itself.

Do it. But I am not actually the one who checked to see if the door was locked, my dad was. :lol Oh, and I am not a pre-teen.

Did your dad at least get you into an R-rated movie after you couldn't get into bungie?

He was probably too upset to see a movie, he didn't get the picture he wanted of Jerome escorting his Dad away..

Dax01 said:
Well, I can't drive by myself.

So wait, let me get this straight. Your dad was cool enough (IE geeky enough) to drive you to Bungie's office, and then you weren't brave enough to try the door yourself?

That's... well that's indicative. Indicative of various things.

Well, no. As I said before, I was hanging back and taking pictures of the building (I took 2). My dad, having nothing to do, went up to the front door. I would have gone up myself after I was done taking the pictures, he just beat me to it.

Oh, and my dad is actually a fan of the Halo novels. I asked him to read the first one (Fall of Reach), he liked it, so he read the next three. He is going to read Contact Harvest, but only after he is done reading a couple of other novels he has purchased but has yet to read.

Shit just got real.

please give us a heads up when this goes live :lol

does he make squeeky grunt voices when they talk? It probably took him a few weeks to get through it if you fell asleep before he finished reading the chapter to you.
