so out of the 5 or so big halo fans at work almost all of them have reverted to halo 2

the reason, well 4 of them said the lack of bxr means it takes less skill

the other said he likes halo 2 maps better

i guess im the only one here enjoying the lack of exploits that unbalance the ame
 
There will always be those people who will fall behind in a series when an exploit gets patched up. They get so wrapped up in BXR or whatever that that becomes the game to them and when it's removed it's no longer fun. I remember when I worked retail around halo 2's popularity people would come trade in the game after they made big fixes to standbying, because they said the game just wasn't fun anymore. Pathetic.

I'm assuming new exploits will come around for these people, but I don't know why people can't enjoy a balanced game.

Although I would be pissed if wavedashing was removed from Brawl, although it was probably put in on purpose in Melee.
 
Wow Bungie I cant get the stupid Mangoose achievement becuase HG is the only map with the stupid ATV and I havent play HG on LW in 20 matches.

I didn't realize there was a "competition" until I checked the thread and saw celebration (and "halo" mentioned a few hundred times when I searched it). The entire idea of competing thread sizes baffles me.

Oh come on, the majority of the posts in there are about nothing AND competing with this thread for posts inbetween updates...

It's silly that they even thought it was a competition in the first place - Halo 3 is out now and we're all playing the hell out of it - there's no time for a "posting contest" like they have...

well, it seems like he would remember something of his previous life. or at the very least come to the realization when he is older that being taken from home at a young age isn't exactly the norm.

Well that thread was started about 5 months ago while this thread was started only a few weeks ago, but seriously, worrying about a thread getting a certain amount of posts before another is just insane to begin with.

So I just had a thought: why the fuck, when I pay $200AUD for the ultimate version of Halo 3 dont I get the Neill Blomkamp shorts on the disc as part of the deal?

The opposite 'damage control' responses were happening in the SSBB thread at that time. People are uh... weird.
 
The age thing works both ways - SSBB's stayed consistent, but if Halo 3 consistently gained posts, it would've won a long time ago, but it's dropped significantly (not to say that it's not still popular). And SSBB will still be getting posts till February.

But seriously, Halo posters were competing for 30k just as much as SSBB posters were. Stop being so defensive about it.

What really killed this thread was the mods locking it for a day and a half. killed the momentum. Plus now, all the multiplay stuff is all supposed to go in a seperate topic.
