holy crap, i killed a wounded human playing online co-op to put him out of his misory and ever human started attacking my whole group.

it was like in Zelda when the cucu's freak on ya!

had me rolling as i ran for my life.
 
Ghaleon has a bad rep what? Always thought of him as one of those "Got a question about what is going on in Halo story, ask him" thing in a good way.

anyone else catch the halo 3 sighting on tonights sarah silverman program? brian was playing through the first dropship encounter of sierra 117. someone at the show must be a big halo fan as last season there was a clip of brian and his partner playing multiplayer halo 2.

I love the shameless plug for the game at the door, too.

Halo 3 aside, that show is one of the worst shows I've seen in awhile.

While most have their qualms with the level

, I loved it. However I do have one minor nitpick.

Am I the only one that misses those huge grav lift/elevators from HALO 2's High Charity? Those lifts that would take you up past hundreds of levels etc. The exclusion of those lifts + the lack of city-scape really held back the sense of scale of the covenant city that HALO 2 showed. It felt more like you were on a covenant capital ship like Truth and Reconcilliation than High Charity.
Apart from that, loved the level, great art design and sense of atmosphere.

Stinkles said from before the game came out, the ad agency saw just as much as we all did, which was just the first level at the time, and were surprised themselves at the first draft of the ad...

And hey Ghaleon, I despised my tag from day one (damn the guy that put it there because of some stupid post) despite being a huge Xbox fan obviously (and owning other consoles, surprise surprise!), but I still enjoyed playing my games and the discussions - that's taking it a wee bit too far man... :)
 
I know this has probably been answered already, but earlier in this thread, there was a statement from Bungie regarding 'drastically turning down the frequency of shotty snipers'. Have they given a date for this? After playing 4 SS games in a row, I'm looking forward to this update more than normal.

So happy that they upped Big Team Battle to 16 players. Sandtrap is the crazy mayhem it was meant to be now, and CTF on Valhalla sure got a bunch more exciting.

They need to up the player count for Lone Wolves too ... some of those maps are too large for 5 people.

They should do a 2 or 3 level short story showing how the Sarge survived on Halo.... or perhaps his early adventures fighting the Covenant that are to be chronicled in the upcoming paperback.

I'd drop 1200 points for that.

Hell, I'd pay $40 for a full game focusing on the sarge.

I know that one of the guys in the show is a big halo fan. He was on the Halo 3: Sci vs. Fi show, but his name escapes me...
 
I for one would love a remake of every halo map ever released. Halo, Halo PC, Halo 2, all the map packs.

I dont even care if its a straight dump with no upgraded graphics.
 
Does anyone know how to control the image that shows up on your service record (the main page of the service record)? As far as I can tell, its the last picture you took... but I want a specific image to be my default.

Hi-Res Screenshots -> Service Record Gallery -> Set as Trophy Shot

If there aren't any pictures in there, you need to add a few from your hi-res section.

Save the image you want as your trophy shot in your service record gallery. In there, you can click on the check mark on the upper left hand side of the image in question.

I had trouble at first too. The check mark was a little hard to see.

I'm seeing much more quitting since the change to 16 players. 2 or 3 players quitting off of one team. I don't remember any quitters in 6v6. No exageration.

About the maps. Like others have said I'm just not feeling about 4 or 5 of them. =( I'm sure Bungie has taken note of this post. New maps ASAP!

I had a ton of quitters last night. I even had to quit once myself because a game of BTB Slayer on Sandtrap was so laggy.

Play Social Slayer or something...That's 5 v 5. And seriously of the BTB I've played in Halo 3, it's much improved over Halo 2's. Lag wise.

the only thing thats more accessible to the average Halo 2 player is the amount of shotguns available on the map.

So why is Ghaleon bailing? I really don't now what reputation he is refering to (presumably being an Xbot) but I never felt anything negative about him. But, if that's what he wants to do, that's cool. I doubt it's going to get the tag changed though.

Anyways... back on subject with Campaign/SP.

For those that have read Ghost of Onyx and finished the fight on Legendary...
What do you think the chances are of the planet Chief and Cortana are coming upon is Onyx? I've seen it heavily discussed in some places that the planet could possibly be a forerunner planet from the markings you could make out on it. If this has been discussed already in here feel free to slap me.
