I hope it's not real hard to unlock all the armors. I'm only an average player, I was much happier when it was tied to achievements :(

She has a fat face. The body's fine. Just her cheek and jaw areas look a bit chubby.

OK, first there are no jaggies from what I can tell. However, my setup isn't a top-end one either. I have a 30" Wide Phillips HD in 1080. On my setup, the game is really pretty. There are times when certain subtle effects kick in and the game can look totally gorgeous. Comparing it to Gears of War would be hard though since Halo 3 has SO MUCH more going on at one time in comparison. As far as compared to Bioshock, Halo 3 has a ton more going on, and all of it looks better.

Rate the game? I'm only 5 hours in so far, but I'm calling 10's across the board if it keeps up the pace that's been set. Its weird though, in the begining I felt like an alien trying to learn the lay of the land on some new planet. And I've played the hell out of both Halos before this. It was hard to call 10's at that point, but once I got my feet wet and learned how things are, I was rolling right along and the game began to make my jaw drop pretty regularly. I think if I went back and replayed the first level or 2, I'd appreciate them a lot more now that I'm acclimated to the game.

Yes. Way too much. I was off work for the whole thing due to illness. The campaign is a different beast entirely. The maps are HUGE and its easy to get turned around. Sometimes in the earlier couple of levels there'd just be so much going on at one time I'd get a bit overwhelmed. You really do have to learn how to play it all over again.

Just picked got my copy. Anyone living near Lake Forest/Mission Viejo, CA PM me and I'll give you the store location. The guy is a little nervous about selling early, so he'll only take cash.
 
Why is matchmaking not working it was like an hour ago. Got off to eat, now nothing. I want to finish SP but i hve to wait for my friend to get on FUCK.

I think they said they were testing them today. Tomorrow they should be up. I think thats what Lukey said.
 
So collector's edition disks may be scratched...

Does anyone know if there should be a problem downgrading from a collector's edition pre-order to a regular pre-order at EB/Gamestop? I've only put down 10 bucks...
 
I was finally able to score a copy of Halo 3 this evening. Haven't had a chance to get online yet. Gotta get my name in the gamertag thread so I'll some fools to play with online!

Ske7ch has been up to no good all week long, we've both been taking semi-regular breaks from pre-launch shenanigans to play some Halo 3 Matchmaking (when the servers have been up for testing) -- those servers will go live tomorrow, just in time for the press to start playing online.

Of course not. Just tell them what you want to do, they'll cancel your CE preorder and you'll preorder regular.

I had to do it from Legendary to Regular a few weeks ago. No hassle.

Thanks, I wonder if I can do it on Monday when I go in or should do it beforehand...I'll stop by tomorrow.

I just can't risk not being able to play this game on Monday night. I'd go insane.
