Anyone going to the midnight release should carry a few eggs on them for ammo in the event that someone tries to spoil it for everyone there. Just think of them as plasma grenades.

Not sure if there has already been pictures of it yet but I saw this on Shopto.net's forums.

Can't wait to get mine! On another note for my fellow UK people that ordered from shopto, they are sending all their Halo 3 orders out on Monday so we should have it Tuesday providing the posties do their jobs.

The other people watching can go to any character but only in 3rd person I thnk it what he is saying.

That is what I gathered which I have to say is a bit disappointing if true.

That's what I've been wondering too. It's really disappointing seeing how I was murdered last night in Matchmaking by a bunch of snipers, I would have LOVE to have seen first person view of their shots. Right Stick Click shoves you into first person (If you're on the original person who recorded the file) but when on another player it only zooms in while in third person.

*Edit*
Unless I'm doing something wrong. But I mashed controlls for about 15 minutes trying to get into first person :(

Couldn't you detach the camera and almost get first person view? Like move it right behid the guys head? You'd miss out seeing how we zoomed in but its close right?

You cant, thats the point, only works for host

Erm, no, anybody can go into first person, but only for the person who recorded the file.

Player 1 Records a file, Everybody watching the film can see Player 1 in first person, but not Player 2 or Player 3 you're limited to third person

If Player 2 Records a file, everybody watching can see Player 2 in first person, but when Watching Player 2 and Player 3 you're limited to third person

Etc Etc

well, finally went ahead and purchased CE from Familyvideo for $60....since I'm in for a long wait till I actually get to play it (gooo media mail!)....will have to read up on extensive Halo Lore through wikipedia I guess....

Now is that just in the theater lobby? Like if you put that video on file share, and one of the other players grabbed it to watch themselves. Would that change it?

Strange ... you were able to do this in the internal beta (you can see it in MrJukes' Betalicious video)

Wait, so matchmaking is already on for Halo 3? People are playing multiplayer games of it right now on Xbox Live???

Only works for some people, some of the time (I haven't been able to get on at all).

No I have not. I wouldn't be surprised if it was some kind of easter egg though, I should check when I get home.

Close but no beans :( I don't know. We did watch a replay of the game we had last night and I watched my friend's Sniper Bullet go straight through someone's head. My friend was screaming over the shot. "I HIT HIM IN THE HEAD" but nobody believed him until we saw it for ourselves :lol

Shit just got serious son!

I say we start our defense force... spread the word that anyone with a megaphone yelling spoilers gets their ass kicked by the 100+ people possibly in line...

By the way I'll be using my wife's MP3 player to kill the time while I wait in line. If I do see someone with a mega phone by chance, which I doubt I will in my area, I wont hear a thing.

A couple of good articles from HBO. There's some good stuff up today.

Interview with Marty: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=172

M4G: How much music did you write for the Halo 3 score?

Marty O’Donnell: That’s not easy to say. In terms of pure musical data in the engine, I’m around 7 hours. I’m not using everything, and that includes lots of different mixes and arrangements of some of the pieces. I can say this much, Mike Salvatori and I are now working on trying to make a Halo 3 Soundtrack and I’m certain we’ll need two CD’s.

MrJuke's Betalicious video had many people's saved films edited together. In the beta you could -only- use your own first person view.

Apparently there are more postal strikes planned... :(

I can't believe that something like that could actually go down. I could see Harry Potter, but these people are like assembling in drones!

I'll listen to my 1up Yours in Line. Super Loud.

I thought SDF was a satire site owned by the same guy who owns the Wii60 site?

Road blocks could be the answer, from what I know of America (from Fast and the Furious) these things can easily be set up normal citizens. :D

At least this way, if they do try it, it's unlikely they won't get away unscathed!

Good to know the soundtrack is on the way. Wasn't the Halo 2 soundtrack out before the game?
Part one was, but it was nearly half other bands, and part two took a long time after that. On that note:

M4G: How was the overall composing experience different this time around?

Marty O’Donnell: Well I had this body of work to draw on. I could choose to write all new themes for Halo 3 or to return to some themes that have proven themselves worthy of some new treatments. The Master Chief is still green, and Halo is still a ring in space. I figured that some of the themes could be revisited and find a home in Halo 3. We did some experimentation with outside bands in Halo 2 and this time I wanted come back to the basics and keep the essential themes more true to the Halo universe. I think of the overall formal structure of the music in the three games to be A B A1, rather than A B A, or A B C.

Yeah. Just play Halo 2 on Live.

Every Halo Player is angry as it is.

If I was planning on doing this, I would be scared.

Maybe I'm being thick here, but can anyone decipher this algebra for me?

That's what's confusing, I could've sworn on the Bungie Podcast they said you can see it from anyones perspective (but maybe they were referring to third person...)

Yes, xbox live gamers are an angry, testosterone filled bunch.

Last night's Team Slayer matches were very calm, and the people were respectful. I need to enjoy these days - I fear it will not be like this for much longer.

I really hope there is some kind of update/patch for this in the future. But if there isn't I suppose I can live with third person.

He's saying, Halo 2's soundtrack was very different than Halo 1 - an A to B progression. Halo 3 builds more directly off of Halo 1, more like A1 than going to something completely different like A to C.

I honestly have no clue what it is... I just hear the info from here and like a lamb follow the herd. I'll believe anything you tell me, or atleast act like it. If some sony fanboy wants to blurt it out on a mega phone... more power to him, but his life will be jeopardy cause he just pissed off a bunch of Halo fan boys. Would love to see the Police report on that one or the news... 100+ Halo fan boys beat down Sony fany boy in parking lot at Wal-Mart. This would call for not only increased media coverage for the next Halo game, but also Police at each midnight opening location.

It's how musicians and those with liberal arts degrees descibe the portions of a musical piece. For Example, in an ABA piece, the first and third movements of a piece of music would be the same, with a change in the middle. A musical piece with a layout of ABC would have three difinitively different parts.

Hope that helps. And yes, I did take music appreciation while earning my liberal arts degree...

Cheers for that (blonde moment!). So long as there is no return to Breaking Benjamin-esque moments in this one...

If you're waiting in line make sure you bring big rocks to take out the car windows with. At least give them some pain back.

Especially in the UK where your average 14 year old can get his hands on a litre of cider without trying!

You should quickly explain that cider in England is a lethally potent booze. Here in the states it is a refreshing carbonated apple juice.

Really?!? You learn something new every day!

By the way, are there any Bungie crew coming to the UK premiere?

So guys say I had a copy of this game... could I play it on Live with no repercusisons.

And yes a real copy not pirated or stolen.

Yeah, you can get it for £1 for two litres, and it's basically fizzy paint thinner with a delightful apple flavouring.

When I say "delightful", I really mean gurn inducing.
