He wasn't AFK. He ran into the middle of the map and spun around in circles waiting for the enemy team to kill him for the entire game.

And yes, I think that you're fucking retarded for essentially defending what this asshat did in the game. If you want to do stupid shit like that go play customs with your friends. Get that shit out of Ranked games.

And yeah, I was a 47 in TS. That moron made me lose that rank and now I've won another 3 games in a row and haven't gone back up thanks to the genius that is Trueskill.

You should take comfort in that you at least know how your teammate ended up with -13 k/d ratio. I have played matches at the same level and wonder every match how it's possible that my teammates made it to the upper 40's. I went from 47 to 41 and back and down a few levels and back and so on and so on. Eventually you realize it's impossible to get to 50 without a team going in with you because there are too much garbage that were boosted up in level that end up on your team. I could only take so many matches getting MVP and still going down in level, beating the same guys each night but somehow you see them progressively go up in level each night while you go down. That was the end of MM for me.

One day Bungie may learn that the rank should be based off of the individual performance and not if the team wins or not. You can't make randoms work together as a team, you can only try. Your dancing teammate is a perfect example of this. No one could boost if it was based on performance rather than their teammates winning the game for them. OMG, a solution to boosting?

In any case, the rank I mentioned above was for SWAT but I also have a 47 or 46 in TS so perhaps I will join you sometime and we can try to form a team that will actually work together. I'd want to brush up first, I'm sure I'm rather rusty as I've taken a several month hiatus to play some looong RPG's.

I was wondering, what do you Halo Studs consider a good game personally? Good K/D, quantity of kills, flags taken/bombs planted or just winning in general?

Also, anyone that wants to play some Matchmaking/Customs at around 9pm GMT give me a message.
 
Construct gives 1 team an unfair advantage being on top (w/ radar), without Radar the map opens up and it is good. Though KoTH on it..... do not like it.

Well it always feels good to get a good K/D ratio, but the best games are always those that are incredibly close and won in the last second. There's no better feeling than getting the final kill or flag cap with only seconds to spare.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Had backflip mentioned that he ran into the middle and spun around in circles, and evidence was presented that he did it over many games, then, yes, he should be at least forbidden to participate in the Team Slayer playlist.

i know how you feel. i played a game of ts yesterday (i was 43) and this guy was constantly shooting his own teammates (me). he kept saying sorry but he was trying to rank down. one person on our team quit and then i followed (the first quit in a long while). so goddam frustrating.

EDIT: loks like i was 41 at the time but doesn't change the facts. you can see from the isolation (the one i was in) game on this guy has purposefully lost every game.

It really depends. If you're playing slayer, K/D is obviously important but what's truly important is working together as a team. If I have a guy on the team that only has a few kills but a crap load of assists without dying much, I consider it a job well done and value his play and contribution to the team. I always check the assists stat before I'm concerned with someone's low kill score. Although if you have a massively negative K/D ratio, that could outweigh the assists.

Objective on the other hand, it's all about the objective and not about killing. Too many times have I played with randoms that care more about chasing down other people rather than going after the guy with the oddball. It can be very effective to have one guy just concentrate on killing to keep the pressure off and allow the other three to play the objective but that's something you agree on going in. It sucks when the whole team pretends it's slayer and ignores the objective. I don't care if you have -80 K/D ratio if you captured the flag or armed the bomb or got good time in the hill, good job. I sacrifice myself all the time just to touch the flag so it doesn't reset.

It really just comes down to playing as a team and not trying to run off like rambo. Hopefully I'm not coming off as an elitist a-hole. I just want to have fun and if my team is all working together and give it our best, it's fun win or lose.
but winning doesn't hurt ;)

Slayer game - Positive K/D ratio. Your team can't lose if you all go positive.
Objective game - Plant bomb/Steal flag/Distract team. I don't give a shit if you go +50, if we lose because you were sitting in the corner with a sniper rifle, go fuck yourself.

I'd love to play customs. But time differences and non-GAF-popularity make it difficult to do with a decent group of people.

I'll have a browse of the GAF gamertag later tonight and see how that goes I guess.

Team Slayer, 3v3. I look at my two teammates - TS ranks are 9 and 26, overall ranks are 40 and 50. Two of our opponents are on alt accounts, the third is a legit 27, I figure we have a shot.

Until I realize that neither of my teammates are playing.

The 27 isn't a huge problem; he's spending most of his time killing the AFC guys (he ended up going 12-5, and killed me once). The other two, though... they're working together, pretty well. One's almost always got a rocket launcher, the other cleans up with a BR. I keep spawning out in the open, they keep taking me down. In the meantime, they're building their overall score by killing AFCers, too.

I decided that my only real goal was to keep both of them from getting Perfections.

I succeeded. It was a good game. :D
