Good games, G, Cocop, Dax. It's nice to play some serious co-op (looks at TGS members.) I'd like to play more often. My favorite moment: A jetpack brute drops a tripmine. A few seconds later, another jetpack brute lands right next to it, and I shoot the tripmine with my BR, sending the brute flying. The point of this story is: put the tripmine on Valhalla, Bungie.

I just took like, over 30 shots of that Tsavo run with Cocop. It brought the epic, as they say.

I'm tired, so just a few highlights.

Taking down Phantoms on the garage encounter. We got both of them down.

This guy was kind of pissed.

Cocop "helps" me take out a Chopper.

Into the great wide open.

Cocop takes out a pesky Wraith in the last big vehicle battle.

We admire the wreakage from the two downed Phantoms.

Rawk. After all this time, campaign still amazes me.

Looks like I took out 109 enemies tonight. It's a start.

Just hopped onto Bungie.net to find they've added a new tab in the game history section of the service record. Now there's Matchmaking, Campaign, and Customs. Good thinking.

In the three campaign missions I did (two of them with Merguson) I killed about 350 enemies.

Wow, played three games tonight with an epic final blow dealt with 30 seconds to spare on a 1 flag RBTB.

We are tied 1-1 going into the last round.

Towards the end of the game, I grab the "cloak of invisibilty" and run in with my excellent support spartans taking out the bag guys surrounding the flag. I grab such flag and run with my tail between my legs out the garage door, yelling my ass off for a ride on the mongoose outside.

My savior comes, I jump on with the flag and commence to get pelted with BR fire, losing all my shield. I'm gonna die, I know it. I'm shouting over the mic for my driver to get every ounce of horsepower out of that damn atv.

We make the corner, rounding the great wheel and I let out a shout of relief. The announcer gives us the one minute mark. We are ok though, since we just have to round the bend, hit the beach, and score for the win.

We hit the corner through the gate and get on the beach.

HOLY SHIT

There is a ghost sitting over the flag capture point! He starts firing like crazy and I know we are screwed.

My driver says "Fuck it. He ain't gonna stop us! We're going straight through!"

My reply: Oh, shit


Dude drives us straight into the ghost, somehow we drive straight by. He is peppering us the whole time. 10 seconds left.

We hit the area full speed. I jump off, like the agile spartan we all know I am, about to die and lunge for victory. And make it it right, dieing as I score. Success!

Winner: Red Team!

These are the experiences that bring me back to Halo.

And yeah, last night was a blast. It was really cool taking down the second Phantom filled with 7+ Brutes before they could even get out of it.

Ghaleon taught me that you can aim for the glowing white turbine-ish things on the Phantom to bring it down quicker.
