The Medium is a third-person psychological horror game that features dual-reality gameplay that plays out across two separate worlds displayed at the same time. The Medium has been updated to take full advantage of Metal, software that powers hardware-accelerated graphics on Apple platforms resulting in smooth and responsive gameplay with high frame rates and stunning visuals. Along with Metal, the game will also support Apple Silicon to ensure it provides an incredible gaming experience. The Medium will be available on Mac and run natively on Apple Silicon in Summer 2023.

Cool, another recent native Metal+Apple Silicon port. I'd like to see more of these, while macs aren't exactly a first gaming platform, Apple Silicon provides a pretty powerful baseline to work off of and scales up reasonably high

Oh. this game with no gameplay substance. There's no combat or gameplay in The Medium whatsoever. How this team is able to work on SH is baffling. They probably just asked Konami before anyone else.

We heard the same about Rocksteady before Batman.

We heard the same about Avalanche just recently before Hogwarts, and people were reminded of Rocksteady...

Will we go for a trifecta with SH2 when the template is there to build upon?

And The Medium was like any other PnC style adventure, there is nothing wrong with those games, and it's still a great genre.

SH2 combat was dogshit anyway. Just hire some semi-competent combat devs and problem solved.

I never said there was anything wrong with PnC games. The Medium has no substance. It copies mechanics from Silent Hill: Origins by traversing through mirrors to the otherworld. Puzzles/Riddles are as simple as "put the mask on the face". Horror factor is laughable with it's cliché, goofy deep voiced singular monster. . There is no real stealth either. It's just hide behind an object until it's gone and it wont come back until the next event. They also had to persude Akira Yamaoka to do the score which is probably why he only did half of it because he didn't want to do it originally. Main character also constantly talks to herself.

I've played it. It was decent and worth my one playthrough.
