Splatoon Raiders |OT| Inkspector Gadget

My daughter lapped me lol. We have 2 Switch 2s and 2 copies of all the Splatoon games so we can do co-op or multiplayer together in S3 but thanks to summer break she's already beaten it and I'm only on level 20. Such a fun game and I'm really looking forward the post game stuff which sounds like it practically requires co-op.

Man I really had no idea lol

I'll definitely try the post-game, but I'm a softy when it comes to super challenging games. My job is super stressful and I wanna just chill when I get free time 🙂

Still sounds fun though. We'll see!
It's like most of the rest of the content in the main game, just that for me it was about 5-15 levels above where I was at when I finished the game. They do add some cheeky enemy combinations that make it more difficult than usual, but it's nothing that couldn't be overcome with level grinding. Problem is that the amount of EXP needed to go up from level 40-50 is (I think) more than it takes to go from 1-40, so I think it'd be a LONG grind to max level. Then finding the highest level weapons, or 5* weapons you can bump up to be actually effective. And grinding orb thingies to craft the best gadget upgrades. A lot of this looks like it could be done with replaying the levels on higher difficulty, but it looked like it'd essentially require playing every level again twice.

It's cool that it's there for people who love the grind, I guess it gives them something to keep working towards after the credits roll.

Wow! Yeah the grind can definitely be fun if you're in the right space for it, for sure.

I wonder if they'll release any content updates or expansions for this?

Is this the best implementation of online coop in a Nintendo game? It just works, I'm surprised I don't have to go through some contrived shenanigans to play with my friend. Just open the lobby, connect, play.

I'm level 45 and I haven't even finished the game yet. :messenger_fearful:

But I had to replay some missions dozen of times because they are extremely tuned in coop (which I love btw).

This will be my first Switch 2 game. I was going to hold off on getting a Switch 2 console but this game looks like a lot of fun and a good place to jump in. Also helps that I just got the Switch for $400. With the price hike coming in a month I think it's kind of a no brainer to just go ahead and buy it now and save some $$$.

Hopefully Splatoon Raiders doesn't actually suck because I basically have no other reason for the system until OoT!

I just unlocked adding an ability to the A button. Now I can use both tactical and power gear together.

I'm blown away by the customization options for your loadouts in this game.

I don't remember the last time I played a game for over 10 hours in one sitting, it is a really awesome game I am having a blast

I didn't expect the personal reviews on GAF to be this high. There are a bunch of people in this thread that I generally trust the opinions of, so I may have to reconsider getting this.

Wasn't sure I'd keep going, but I played another hour or so last night while the wife and I watched TV. Still can't do the post-game levels, but made it to level 41 at least so that's nice.

I've been helping people as that seems to push item drops and experience to your level. I have a bunch of 5 star items.

Finished the game today. The last boss fight was awesome. While the majority of the story sucked I loved the ending. I'm glad that I got this game it surpassed my expectations. Best game released on Switch 2.
Fam got it right we can't go home until we have found all treasures.

The way they have matchmaking set up in this game is absolutely brilliant for this genre.

They set it up so that you get rewarded no matter what level you are. You're incentivized to stay and get nothing when you leave or fail the mission. But the host doesn't get penalized for a failed mission and can ask for help again.

And everything loads and gets matched so quickly.

I freaking love this game lol. I can see myself playing at the end game, too jshackles jshackles and I never thought I'd feel that way.

Watching replays of the Tour de France and grinding. The end game here is an excellent "podcast game", as my kids call it.

This might be my game of the year. It's incredible.
Same! I can't put it down, man. I wasn't expecting this...like at all.

That's exactly what Phantasy Star Online was back in the day. I used to play that until like 3 in the morning, but those days are long behind me lol

Yep I think I'm done now. Beat all three post-game challenge levels with the tactical tank, then realized you've gotta beat them all with all three tanks to get the final ending. I think I'm just gonna look it up on Youtube, otherwise I've probably got another 15 or so hours of grinding to max out the other two tanks and scrounge up enough resources to properly kit out the gadget upgrades I need to beat those levels.

I'm level 47 now so there is still a bit of room to grow, but damn...
