Should I Buy a PS5?

Let's see.

- You've been all digital since the PS4.
- You have 3/4TH of your game collection on PS.
- You have invested in the PS ecosystem for probably a decade, close to it or more.
- You want to play GTA6 day one.
- You are worried about Sony taking away your licenses for your digital content purchases in the future if they want to.

I can understand PC, but as a countermeasure to all of this, you want to Switch to Xbox or Switch 2? They'll do the same shit and are waiting for Sony to take all the backlash and bad PR first. And then they'll follow suit.

The PS5 (or even the PS5 Pro considering the PC market trying to build a 1:1 equivalent to it currently and of course, day 1 GTA6 being exclusive to Consoles) is a great 3RD party Console, even today and till Sony discontinues it's physical game production in 2028, or even after that because by that time this generation of Consoles would be over or would be in the last year before the new generation starts in november of that year.

You can still buy games released previously physically if you're worried about licenses being revoked. There is a choice to do that, unlike the PS6.

The online protest are about the PS6 being all-digital, and not having the discs (for new PS6 games) even as an option going forward, not the already existing or soon to release PS5 games.
