Samsung revealed their new foldables for this year but their flagship is passport style'd which is less tall but wider type foldable. Which isn't new but now with Apple rumored and Samsung with their own, will this aspect ratio finally catch on?

Android apps will probably look atrocious on this. Most of them already do on standard tablets.

I'm all about returning to phones that are actually pocketable. And I've been about it ever since I got one with a 4"-something screen, back when bezels were quite big. I like me some good screen estate, but the current 6"+ standard is just too big for pockets. This new Fold feels like a step in the right direction. A bit wider, but shorter.

I still maintain Samsung are the worst when it comes to the crease, though. A couple years ago I confronted the latest Samsung and Motorola foldables, and the Moto hands-down had the less visible crease. It was like Samsung just didn't care about hiding it.

Too bad these things cost like a top iPhone. Also, I'd be curious as to how long you can expect to use one of these before it fails somewhere.

My only real issue with modern phones is the battery, I don't need a big screen. I am tired of having to charge all the fucking time.

But paying the sums they are asking for a phone is off the table.

I used to have a Blackberry Passport - the last Blackberry I had before I started buying iPhones.

The passport form is a nice shape for a phone, but it's too wide to use one-handed (I guess now they're too tall for that).

Came with a nice leather case, so it actually looked like a (very thick) passport, and had a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen.

Might consider it when my surface duo dies. I'd prefer dual screens but that ship seems to have sailed.

Still waiting for affordable trifolds but I guess that's never coming considering the price of tech nowadays.

Is the crease gone yet? Or at least reduced to a point where it's barely noticeable?

Tried out a Fold 7 last year and returned it a day later because the crease was too pronounced and would undoubtedly get worse over time.
