What's this?
Well, it's crapcom, definition of the creatively bankrupt publishermeh remakes remakes
You could've just said "I'm insufferable" and left it at that.Easily the worst RE, it was barely tested, so many soft and hardlocks. Also modern Capcom games are all the same.
Requiem was the last straw for me, until of course they change the direction of this franchise (it will never happen)
Edit: they are still trying to replicate PS1/N64/Dreamcast era level design with modern controls/camera, holy...
The true Resident Evil V.
Is a remake not a remaster… Its 100% a new game.meh remakes remakes
capcom has major release is forecast by march 2027, so this is probably jan/feb release. wil lsee at gamescom
Inb4 Claire can parry zombies. Edit: it will probably be ChrisYou could've just said "I'm insufferable" and left it at that.
"I'm sore-y, babe!"I hope they keep Steve Burnside as ridiculous as he is in the original though, what a legend.
I'm gonna be honest though, that wasn't a good trailer
Replacing 5 with this seems strange. I expect they'll eventually remake 5 and 6 at some point but they're going to run out of numbers, so maybe not.
5 won't get a remake for 'sensible' reasons.Replacing 5 with this seems strange. I expect they'll eventually remake 5 and 6 at some point but they're going to run out of numbers, so maybe not.
Those still look fine anyway and are great coop action games with horror elements.
I never played CV, I wonder if they'll change the whole script or keep it relatively faithful minus the jank I always heard about.
As good as 1 remake is I hope that one gets a remake eventually.
What if they do the idea I wanted them to do with RE 1 and 0 (Combining both campaigns into one continuous game)? That's a good catch though: Resident Evil: V... does this mean that the original Resident Evil 5 will be phased out of the Remake series?
The game will still exist. But maybe not in the RE-Remake cannon that is now
My man, that big V is something they do for all their numbered titles. Not only on the box art but I think in the teasers too.er ... they're not replacing 5 with this .. not sure what makes you think that?

I mean if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I'm not just randomly saying this, they've been consistent.
I think we're past all that, besides the original game swapped out a lot of natives for white people, there really isn't anything to complain about.5 won't get a remake for 'sensible' reasons.
I have no problem with that actually. I'm on a modern RE journey right now with 2R, 3R, 4R done and currently playing 7. While 7 shifts the perspective the dna is still there. 5 and 6 tho were released during the industry's stupid shove multiplayer into everything era. I honestly don't know how they can remake 5 unless they change it significantly. 6 is another big mess with its different characters styled campaigns and I have no idea how they could remake it without completely overhauling it. Not sure if they'll bother with zero but RE1 is definitely getting a remake because despite what the old fans want you to believe it's very dated.Capcom: "There aint no Resident Evil 5 here, and there never was!"

- Resident Evil 2 Remake
- Resident Evil 3 Remake
- Resident Evil 4 Remake (partial remaster of RE4, but also a lot of story recons to RE2R)
- Resident Evil: Veronica (The new RE5? It will feature Chris extensively too)
- Resident Evil VII
- Resident Evil: Village
- Resident Evil: Requiem
I doubt RE6 is part of this new cannon. I honestly expect Resident Evil 0 and RE1 to get 'modern' remakes as well.
It should be called VeronIIIca and be considered the real RE3.The V is for Veronica.
The game's title is Resident Evil: Veronica, not Resident Evil: V.
This wasn't lost on me even before I posted. I am still going by the way they've marketed their previous RE games. I guess we'll see.The V is for Veronica.

Nothing wrong with admitting you're a casual and it's too hard for you. No yellow paint and all that. Not sure if they'll bother with zero but RE1 is definitely getting a remake because despite what the old fans want you to believe it's very dated.
Here we go lolNothing wrong with admitting you're a casual and it's too hard for you. No yellow paint and all that.
They don't need to overhaul RE5 and RE6 because they don't suffer with constant soft and hardlocks.I have no problem with that actually. The dude saying "Bio Hazard" on the title screen of RE9 goes hard compared to "Resident Evil."the japanese naming scheme for the remakes is just so much cleaner.
clearly labelled as Biohazard RE
they should have just went with the RE7 gag and called the remakes Resident Evil BH in the west.
Resident Evil BH: 2, Resident Evil BH: 3 etc.
