AHAHAHHAHAHA that guy in the black shirt in the far left is my friend Damon. He and I (along with some of our other friends) were there for the Philly Game Jam. Now I regret not setting up a get together for Neogaf members. We were there basically the entire time the expo was going on, because we only had 48 hours to make a game from scratch.

AHAHAHHAHAHA that guy in the black shirt in the far left is my friend Damon. He and I (along with some of our other friends) were there for the Philly Game Jam. Now I regret not setting up a get together for Neogaf members. We were there basically the entire time the expo was going on, because we only had 48 hours to make a game from scratch.

I want to say "I can't believe we didn't run into each other more" .. but I have no clue what you look like (and vice versa of course). I flew up from Florida for the event, I talked with the guy who made it and he confirmed there will be a second one. I heard VGXPO was a bust.. but i'd worry about the PAX Boston competition coming.

Anyways, the Game Jam was bad ass. I was taking video (take a look at the recent stuff here http://www.youtube.com/user/BingeGamerDotNet ) and actually kept checking back on one of the guys creating table. I forget the name of the game, but it ended up winning (it had a halo generic looking guy, side scrolling, but there were like 'two worlds' you could go back and forth.. a light puzzler). Did you set up a site for your groups project? I wasn't completely sure how it was run, like were you set up with a group that morning or you were allowed to come as an already established team?

Too late for more Halloween pics?

My wife and I wanted to take the munchkin trick or treating around the office but we were kinda lazy with getting her a costume. Luckily the wife likes to sew and had lots of fabric scraps, so with some salmon colored fabric, bias tape, pillow stuffing, green fabric and an all white outfit we made a pretty cute little piece of salmon sushi out of my daughter.

Add in a japanese bathrobe that I had and a couple of dowel rods standing in for giant chopsticks and we had a hungry sushi bar patron (seen below about to take a bite) to go along with our salmon sushi. Contrary to her expression in this picture I think she had a pretty good time except for her irrational fear of one of my co-workers who was dressed as Wario. I think the mustache was freaking her out.

The site's not up yet, and our game is a little too big to send over email. I'll let you know when we get it hosted. We came as an already established team, we were all students from the University of Pennsylvania. Didn't win, but hey, it was a lot of fun.
